How do I get iTunes 10.6.3

I think I downloaded the windows version from www.oldapps.com, but Mac version is no longer available. I just googled:

    download iTunes 10.6.3 "windows 7" 64.

But I got a 32 bit version. It worked fine on my Win7 64 bit laptop.

Just did a bit of searching, and it actually looks like apple allows you to download old Mac or windows versions of iTunes from their support page, but I couldn't find it by searching within Apple's site, only found through google.

    Try these links:

    No worries, it's cool!

Even I wasn't aware that I was being sarcastic until William Zeallor pointed it out.

    Thanks William!

You're welcome. Let us all know how it goes for ya.  Worked near perfect the whole time for my 3Gs, but I just couldn't sync my ipad mini even with cable to the computer. Really, really regret returning to iTunes 11. Good luck!

I am still on 11.0 so far its working..but very slow.. I noticed that both the computer I am sync'ing with and the iPhone are both suppose to be on WIFI, however my computer is hard wired in, but it is working. For me it appears that my problem was a firewall problem and I had to tweak Vipre.

My symptoms were devices missing in iTunes list. Could get them to appear by making a USB connection and then removing it. But attempting wifi sync would cause the devices to disappear again.

This bug has dogged me for months. Fixing it took a lot of research across multiple threads. Here were the keys, for me:

    1. Deleted old device ipad and iphone device backups - got iPad 3 wifi sync working (manual only - no option for auto like iPhone)
    2. Enabled Firewall under Security & Privacy - got iPhone 4 wifi sync working, automatically when plugged into power

Previously I also reserved IP addresses for them using my router based on others' suggestions. I did leave that in place but uncertain whether it is key like the above two steps.

MacOS 10.8.3, iTunes 11.0.2 (26), Airport Extreme dual band mode single ssid

I am curious to see whether your setup also allows for wifi sync to happen once the computer goes to sleep (ie does Wake on Lan function properly).

It is also quiet interesting that enabling the firewall fixed it for you.  All the posts that I have read say that firewall has to be turned off.  I never had my firewall on to begin with.  My wifi sync works when the computer is awake, once it goes to sleep hitting sync now wakes up the harddrive but the wifi sync does not happen.

Yes I agree it's very strange that turning the firewall on fixed the problem. Like you, I never had my firewall enabled. Apple devotes a section to firewall config in their "Troubleshooting iTunes Wi-Fi Syncing" article, but no where mentions it being required. Based on this, it smells like a software defect.

I don't use Wake on Lan, so I enabled it to try your use case. Didn't work - no automatic sync, and no manual sync when requesting from iPhone settings. But I don't use this feature for anything else, so I'm not certain it's set up right.

I'm all apple and my firewall has always been on and I have the problem.

This had worked for me at first (Windows 8, latest iTunes, iPhone 5)

I had the same problem, and have tried all sorts of potential solutions based on lots and lots of conversations about this problem.  I checked my wireless router settings, I checked my firewall settings, I un-installed and re-installed software, I configured and re-configured the sync process...all without success.

I FINALLY found a fix for my situation!  (By the way, I have an iPhone 4, and I have Windows 7 64-bit).  The way I was able to fix this was by doing the following:  (1) Disable Apple Mobile Device service via msconfig, (2) Restart the computer, (3) Enable Apple Mobile Device service via msconfig, (4) Restart the computer, (5) Power down iPhone, (6) Power up iPhone, and finally, (7) Open iTunes.  Voila!

This may not be the right solution for you, but at least it's another one for the books on this annoying problem!  Good Luck.

But today still no wifi sync.  It is something with the Windows Service.  I went into services, killed the Apple Moble Device Service, started it again, then restarted iTunes and it saw the phone.

On my system, I can restart the Apple Mobile Device service with iTunes open and the device will subsequently be found. Unfortunately, nothing we can do yields a permanent fix. People post in this thread like they've got it figured out but they don't return to admit defeat.

So far since fussing with the firewall I have had no problems except once in a while I have to reboot Win 7 64 bit if it does not show up in iTunes, still I feel like it's not working 100% and iron clad..

Exactly...just had to do the same thing this morning.

A data point that might be useful, from a Win7/64 user.

A while ago I bought some DVD-burning software from Roxio. It auto-installed something called DivX, which, in turn, kept asking to install updates. At some point the updater started crashing, so I decided to uninstall it. This proved harder than it looked, because the uninstaller kept crashing as well. Nevertheless, I finally managed to get rid of it by reinstalling it and then uninstalling it and rebooting my machine.

Now, when I put my iPad in its charger/docking station while iTunes is running, it autosyncs over WiFi. This is the first time this has ever happened since iOS 6 came out. Syncing is still not trouble-free, but I am quite sure that uninstalling DivX changed the behavior, and therefore that DivX is one piece to the puzzle.
