Can't connect iTunes through passbook on my iPhone 4S

My passbook app won't connect to iTunes on my iPhone 4S after upgrading to iOS 6.
Here is what worked for me
settings > general > date & time > set automaticaly OFF > set time & date
> set year to 2036
go back to settings
open APP STORE (not PASSBOOK): you should get the error message
settings > general > date & time > set automaticaly ON
go back to settings
open PASSBOOK > clck app store
GOOD LUCK!!!
I didn't try the changing date idea, but I did try installing the target app, and then selecting a coupon and adding it to Passbook. That worked. I have an iPhone 4S. Thanks, guys.

The month AND year changed worked for me on my 4S. Good luck, it was very frustrating.

Check your iCloud setting. If you have passbook enabled, then see if you used the same apple ID logged in for App Store. Using same ID fixes the problem when date changes do not work.
