Any way to change iOS 6 color scheme?

Just loaded up iOS 6 and terribly dissappointed with the color scheme (not sure I've seen an android look this bad) for the messages/phone (I only wish they would have stuck with iOS 5 style buttons when using the phone).

iPhone 4S, iOS 6

Santo17,

Let me make sure I am hearing this right, this forum was formed by Apple, is linked as an integrated part of the Apple site and Apple support. It requires your Apple ID to be able to join and it is touted by the Apple support team as a place to go to discuss and obtain additional answers to issues and yet you express Apple does not monitor this forum or listen to what people have to say on this forum? I am in agreement that it would not hurt to post on the feedback site along with commenting on this site; however I would be quite surprised if Apple is that imprudent.

I don't know if it monitored or not. I think they should monitor this forum to get a true sense of what is going on with their products and customers. Feedback is an important tool though, it should be used regarding the negative AND positive. If it was not for a user of this forum pointing the feedback option out I never would have known about it as until now I have never had any issues with any Apple product or its function.

Agreed. We pay too much for our iPhones to not have basic choices to customize the look we want.

Apple has never been known for giving customers the ability to customize devices. In fact, people have frequently complained that they don't. So, this shouldn't come as any sort of surprise. Perhaps an iPhone is not the right choice for you. Android phones, some of which cost as much or more than an iPhone, tend to be quite customizable.

I'm a partially sighted and I also noted that. I made some contrast calculations and you right. The new dialpad have a contrast ratio of 8.2 in 1 when we speak about numbers and 2,9 in 1 when we speak about letters. The same results for the "old" dialpad had respectively 18,2 in 1 and 5 in 1. For numbers is a huge diference and for letters the old contrast already wasn't good. And worst, the letters of new dialpad infringes the contrast guidelines of WCAG 2.0 of W3C that recommend a minimum of 3.5:1. The calc explanation are at universalaccess.blogspot.pt

You must to see the last video that Apple put on homepage. See the part, when Mr. Jobs said "iPhone ... an Internet Comunicator". If you want, put the dialpad in a webpage, made 20 cirurgies to your eyes and then try to use it - you'll see that guidelines sounds like rules. Mr. Jobs was an open mind and where you see guidelines, rules, He see Human DNA.

we don't need a huge amount of color customization. How about just light or dark apple???? (ios 5 being dark).

It's not a fekkin print ad, I don't want a lot of white screen blaring at me. It's projected light, so darkish buttons with white labels was MUCH BETTER. Easier to see without glasses by far. Little help here, at least allow me to make it as good as it was before I upgraded.
