This happens with every major upgrade. Some people will want to go back to a previous version that other people think was the worst thing ever. Most of us will be at least reasonably happy with the way things are.
Best of luck.
I always thought that iOS6 was behind Android and the ability to customize. I mean, if you have to look at this thing to manage messages, email, phone calls etc., why not make it pleasing to the individual eye? Android lets you do that. However, it never bothered me enough to say anything about iOS6. It was still a pleasant streamlined appearance.
But with iOS7, this is a significant step backwards—shocking, actually. This "redesign" is simply a white screen with blue and black text. The comparison to DOS is valid, because that's all that DOS was: black and white, essentially. Sure, the apps work fine. We'll all keep using them. But the appearance does not make for a great experience (and we are a group of graphic designers and video editors here, and everyone's shocked in the office). It's even more disappointing to see some great apps like Score also sucking out their graphics and 3D to produce a flat, bland experience. It's quite a stunning development, as if somehow making something ugly is cool. Well, maybe for some. But then, as one user said above, why all the fuss about a high resolution retina screen when all we get to look at is white screen? It's like buying an expensive ornate picture frame to frame a sheet of lined paper.
Samsung et al have to be laughing all the way to the bank over this simpleton redesign. Sorry Apple. It's just ugly.
