Any way to change iOS 6 color scheme?

Just loaded up iOS 6 and terribly dissappointed with the color scheme (not sure I've seen an android look this bad) for the messages/phone (I only wish they would have stuck with iOS 5 style buttons when using the phone).

Apple released the 6.0.1 and the color of dial pad continue to be white background. :-( There are a way to put background of dial pad black. If you use settings -> general -> accessibility -> inverse colors. You could attached this feature (on/off) to the main button (triple click and you invert colors; triple click again and you get the normal color again) - is not perfect, because the contrast of inverse colors is also bad, but for me is better ... .

I was really disappointed to see they ignored all the feedback and didn't fix this problem with the last update.... I don't really care about customizing colors that much, my issue is the key pad is very generic looking and with the lack of contrast is very difficult to see. It does not seem like a UI for the most advanced operating system in the world.

Hi, guys. I was disappointed with the new color schemes offered in the iOS 6 update and the dial pad issue too. I read through the messages on this board, and I took up the suggestion by the user who posted the Apple feedback link. I sent a message to Apple. I doubt it'll do much, but you never know. I'm including the message below. (Btw, on an unrelated note, I've been having significant issues with my iPod Touch, and haven't been able to sync music in over a year. Apple hasn't been able to help me, and I'm wary of restoring because I don't want to lose everything/have to start over with the crappy new iOS. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be amazing.) Anyway, I'll post the reply to my message about the new iOS from Apple if I receive one.

After much hesitation, I recently updated my iPhone 4 operating system from iOS 4.2 to iOS 6.1. I've noticed a lot of things I'm unhappy about, and seem unable to change. To begin with, the display for the dial pad (used when making phone calls) is atrocious. It seems most users preferred the previous dial pad. There should be an option for customizing the dial pad. Another issue I have is with "location services" and "sharing". I'd like to be able to share news stories and check in to Facebook without sharing my location with the world. Another major issue I have is with the sound functions failing. At first, my alarm was going off at random times I had not set. While it no longer seems to be doing that, it does not play the alarm tone I've designated when I do have an alarm set. I also worry that I'm not getting notified of all of my activity, and this gas nothing to do with the settings in the notification tab. I've also noticed that the camera roll and camera accessibility seem to have become more difficult. There is a lag when I want to take pictures, and the app always asks me if I want to edit the pictures. I would like that to be a manual choice, not an automatic one. The red eye reduction is not even a quality feature because it barely works. Essentially, there should be greater ease of use and customizability options. I'm 24 years old, with no handicaps, and I'm having issues with the new iOS. I've been using Apple products since 2004, and I'm greatly disappointed. There are several other issues regarding color schemes and lack of customizability of app displays that I have, but if you could tackle the aforementioned issues in the next update or offer some kind of interim option, I'd greatly appreciate it. Judging by the negative response on Apple support message boards, I know I'm not alone in my disappointment and frustration. Thank you.

I shouldn't do this, and I know it is of no help, but...

I'm nearly 67 years old, with no handicaps, and I've had no issues with any iOS. I've been using Apple products since 1984, and have very seldom been disappointed.

Not wishing to start an argument, but continuing to be fascinated by the different experiences people have with the same products. I hope you resolve your issues.

I wrote that because some people who have vision problems were disappointed with the limits in the "accessibility" section. They had trouble seeing the dial pad, and I wanted to explain that I don't have any issues relating to age (like needing reading glasses) or any other issue regarding enhanced accessibility. I just prefer the previous dial pad display. I'm happy for you that you haven't had significant issues with Apple. Yay for you for getting on the Apple train 20 years earlier than me. I only included the year because I wanted to make clear that I'm familiar with their products; that I didn't just buy my phone yesterday, so I know what to expect. If you could use your clout to get them to reply to me, then that would be of help. Since you're in the UK, I wonder if any of the specifications are different since your carrier isn't Verizon.

I became an instant Apple fan when I bought the iPhone 4S released on iOS 5. Everything about it was almost perfect, especially the deep contrast high quality display which for the first time was comfortable to read on an electronic device. It was so unlike the glaring cheap brightness of Samsung phones. The 4S's status bar display scheme - indented blue signal strength indicators, green/red battery level, white clock, indented light grey rotation lock indicator, and orange airplane mode, all on nice light grey background - was just a beauty. I thought Apple could do no wrong.

What a horrible shock I got on updating to iOS 6.1.3! The status bar is now a ugly dull blue on Message and other apps. It is such a turn off to look at. The phone keypad is cheap looking, as if designed by amateurs. The Music app is too low contrast. Worse of all, I lost my original natural looking deep contrast screen. It is now a lighter contrast brighter screen which makes the app icons appear wash-out. It is not comfortable anymore to read on my iPhone. What on Earth is happening? I hated Windows because they keep changing just for the sake of change. Now Apple is doing the same thing.

Can anyone confirm that Apple have switched to a lighter contrast and higher brightness in iOS 6 vs iOS 5?

Any way to change iOS 6 color scheme?
