Apple maps very disappointing

Just want to join in ... the map app is totally crap .. they showed in prime time news here (in DK), that apps are way off ... large area is black and white, large area is blurry.

I'm sorry Apple - I'm a huge Apple fan, but Steve Jobs would never let this app go public ... it's not even near beta.

I appreciate the idea of having Apple develop their own maps data service, but:

- Images covered with clouds,

- rough cuts between summer and winter (snow) pictures,

- low resolution in many important recreational sites in Switzerland,

- missing streets...

This current status is no alternative to google maps.

Please keep the google maps App alive until the Apple solution is beginning to reach a similar quality level.

Until then I wont update my iPhone.

Oh c'mon iFindView is not even close to what google maps was able to do. Absolute ridiculous advice.

Apple needs to return Google Maps until they get their act together!!!!!!!!!

Apple, I'm thinking of a phone upgrade, but right now based on the truly horrific inaccuracies in maps for the UK I plan to spend my weekend working out how I can transfer my hold online presence online from iCloud to Google. Looking at central London huge numbers of businesses are missing and the vast majority of the remainder are misplaced. Not really a surprise given data is from the very low quality Yelp. Clear Apple management are now focused on the commercial goal of moving away from Google and assume users are loyal and will just stay with apple. Nooooooooo, we stayed with apple because you gave the best experience. The user experience of Steve Jobs is replaced with a numbers man. Restore Google mapping or halve the value of your company in months.

I am extremely disappointed as well. I have four iPad's and two IMACs and two iPhones. I feel like throwing them a

L in the water. (I live at the beach) For Apple maps to begin to come close to Google maps will take two years. Apple will save a lot of customers if they just let Google maps back on while they fix their own.

I have to agree with Shilts9 - the new maps app s***s big time. Today I came back form a businesse and I took me 2 extra hours because of this new app.

just doesn't work in NY...search does not return anything.....just frustrating........this is so NOT-APPLE, user experience *****....

Apple blew it with this update

Have already spoke with my cell phone carrier Verizon about turning in my Iphone for a droid...at least the maps work there.

Don't even get me started about PassBook

DO NOT UPGRADE PEOPLE.....you will regret it as I do. This upgrade cost me money in most time finding places / customers today.

Bing Maps offers a very good maps service with Bird's Eye, a feature similar to Flyover. It's arguably better than Google Maps.

I'm a business owner in Kirkland WA and my business is not listed on the Apple Maps - very disappointing, and my entire business is ran on Apple hardware (I was one of the first iPad Point Of Sale locations in the country). I've called Apple's support, stopped by the store, and reported a problem through the Map App, but no one can tell me how to get my business listed. The Google listings where very effective at helping new customers find my restaurant - now I'm non-existant unless you specifically search for the business name. I also tried contacting Yelp but they can not explain why I'm not listed by Apple.

Has anyone had any luck getting their business added to the new Apple Map App? I'm a huge fan of Apple and this is highly un-apple-like and very disappointing.

If you value your sanity Valmetshooter, only get a Samsung Galaxy S3 or wait til the next Nexus device. Don't let Verizon sell you a droid.

Please Apple, give us back Google Maps untill you improved yours a lot. The satellite images of Apple Maps in Germany are low res, there are clouds over big cities like Düsseldorf, so you cant see anything, no streetview, no 3D Maps, no nothing. This is not a product, this is a desaster. 😮
