VirtualBox stopped working with the update to 10.8.2

I just upgraded to ML 10.8.2, and my VirtualBox v4.2 works fine with three different guests.

This is a Core i5, mid-2011 Mac mini.

Do you happen to have Parallels and/or VMware on there too?

I am also having this problem as are hundreds of others. It affects Retina Macbook Pro's only after upgrading to 10.8.2. Oracle says it's a bug with 10.8.2 that they reported well before the update was Gold Master. Worried that this is not high on Apple's radar -- it should be.

This affects Ivy Bridge macs only (like the Retina Macbook Pro and new Air).

It also affects the lastest MacBook Air ... Any resolutions yet?

Apple EFI firmware updates available today for mid-2012 MBP and rMBP. Maybe this will solve this VB issue.

VirtualBox is a low-level system modification. If you're going to use such things, you cannot install system updates from Apple until you know that the modifications are compatible, or until they're updated to be compatible.
