ios6 won't connect to wifi

I just upgraded my phone to iOS6... When I got home, I noticed that I was on 3G, so I tried to connect to my home wireless network through the Settings control panel. The phone connected for a second, then went back to 3G, and a window opened to Apple.com titled "LOG IN" with a message along the top of the page saying "Hmm, the page you're looking for can't be found." I was not trying to use Safari. This was almost as if I was trying to log onto the network at Starbucks or some hotel where you have to go through a gateway to get to the internet.

What do?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6

I installed it on 2 iPad 3rd gens, an iPhone 4 and an iPhone 4s. All of them did the exact same thing. I left it alone, then suddenly about 7PM EST it reconnected to my network by itself, and everything has been working fine since.

So...not sure on if it was an apple issue, or something in the phone just needed a little time to process or just the fact of apple being bombarded with tons of registrations of iOS 6 and just had to catch up? 😕

EDIT:

apparently it was an issue on apple's side.

Just to add my 2p!

I updated my wifes 4s OTA last night and immediately noticed the wifi issue.

I have spent most of today on & off trying to sort it now.

I can connect to my router (which hasn't changed since the update) but when I try to access any internet content, nothing seems to happen.

I have tried pretty much all the hacks and resets that people have suggested and nothing works. I also did a full restore (with backup) and still nothing.

I didn't update my 4 as I had the beta6 on it, and that access the same router fine, along with my ipad two macs and a couple of PC's.

Thinking I may have to restore as new phone to see if I can get it working?!?

I just found the source of my wifi problems!

The Cisco E4200v1 router does not play nice with the 4s on iOS6!!

It will not work at all with Wireless N mode or mixed mode settings. If I have it on these settings, the iPhone will connect (slowly) to the router, but access to content on the browser takes forever (or not at all).

I have to set the router to G only mode, but obviously this is no good for the rest of my devices!

So is this an Apple fix or a Cisco fix?
