iOS 6 installed. Can't access home Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi on. Home network has password. Takes me to apple.com 404 page, rather than allow me to enter pw in network settings. Very frustrating!

Had the same problem after rebooting my iPad 2 with IOS 6. (Wifi turns off after closing the login screen)

(Did the network reset too but didn't do anything...)

This was my work around...

When the login screen pops up (apple.com/login screen), just double tap the home button and the screen will disappear and then just continue using your apps as normal... the wifi stays on and you're good to go!

Just to be sure, I turned off the wifi and back on and now connects fine with no Apple.com login screen.

This happened to me yesterday. I've purchased brand new iPhone 4S, upgraded to iOS 6 and was unable to get Wi-Fi working as it was getting disabled after sending to 404 apple page.

It got fixed in rather weird scenario: I did a full reset erasing data and content, had to reactivate device via WiFi - it still tried to open 404 page (but since it is activation screen, it automatically closed it), but then I have turned on another WiFi router, tried connecting there - it failed, tried connecting to original WiFi router - it got connected, "next" button appeared and I quickly clicked it. The device got activated and after that, this opening of 404 page no longer occurs.

For some reason, I think the device thought that WiFi required web-based authentication, which is why it was trying to open that 404 web page. I'm still unsure how and why it worked, but at least in my case, it's gone now. I hope it won't reappear if I decide to reset the device again.

Having the same problem with iPhone 4S and home WiFi.

It worked fine for a few weeks then suddenly my iPhone 4 Stopped recognizing the home WiFi.

iOS 6.1.3

Tried all the suggested steps I have read about in various forums and discussions.

Rebooted router (THOMSON TWG870)

Reset network settings

Switched on and off Airplane Mode, Join Networks etc. Nothing worked. the iPhone finds my next door neighbour wifi but not mine.

Very frustrating and not happy at all.

iOS 6 installed. Can't access home Wi-Fi. Takes me to apple.com rather than allow me to enter pw.
