I just updated a few minutes ago and I'm having the same problem, I can actually see my battery % going down as I type! Its going down 1% every minute or so!

UPDATE: The % has been going down at a slower pace over the past few minutes, and I also noticed the total time is now increasing, it went from 3 hours up to 5.5 hours, Im hoping It will go up from here. Maybe it just needs some time to calibrate the battery?

You say only a few, but you forget the people that just read and they never leave a reply to this forum. Your question about if everybody would be suffering it is ιronical, so my answer is that you forget the people that just read and they never leave a reply to this forum.

Why would people come to read in a Trobleshooting forum if they have no problem? You can't substantiate this claim, so give it a rest. I am simply telling you that if it were '100% a bug' as you so sternly suggest with no evidence (of course a few are suffering!) then why would everybody not be seeing this issue. I come from a Mac community and know of only one user out of over 100 Macs that have had this issue.

Good question for those who have no problem.

If somebody is searching abd reading in a troubleshooting forum it means that there's a problem that needs to be solved , or somebody searches before purchasing something in order to purchase or not.People search the forums , like i did and before making any request to Apple geniuses or whatever department is responsible for solving matters with mac computers(software) , they search it for possible solutions.

About the bug in 10.8.3 : it is a bug - otherwise there would be no problem refered from few users who suffer!

About everyone: how do you know that everybody is not seeing this issue?

This is a real problem that has affected a lot of people. Although it looks like 10.8.3 has solved it for many, it hasn't for everyone. And in some cases, it has actually caused the problem with people who previously did not have it. There is a 217 page thread with over 300,000 views elsewhere on this forum on this very topic:

For me, battery life is looking better on 10.8.3 than it did on any of the other ML versions. I am still watching battery Health, which seems to take a big hit every time the machine goes into sleep mode.

Good luck to all.

Hello everyone,

I did something apparently irrelevant but it has had so far a huge impact in my battery life spam (I also experienced same battery life reduction as almost everyone on this post).

Close any safari tab containing flash objects as soon as you won't need it open anymore.

By doing so -it is a user practice- my battery life expanded from 2-3 hours to 6-7 hours.

It has worked for me so far, hope this works for somebody else as well

PD. Steve was right about flash
