iOS 6 - Maps No Sound

Just installed iOS6 on my iPhone 4S and thought I'd test the Maps app. I put in my directions and pressed the start button but thoughout my 2km Drive I got no sound instruction. I checked the Maps settings and the volume was up Loud. I also did a hard reset and still no sound. My model phone is MD241X/A.

any ideas ?

With iOS 6 it is a bit complicated to get the map working. Here are the instructions: 1. Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Maps > "set to ON" 2. Settings > Maps > "make sure anything is selected except for No Voice" 3. If your map app is open shut it down and restart 4. At the bottom left corner of the map is a small arrow, select it until it lights up and the blue dot on the map starts to flash 5. In the top left corner of the map is a arrow, select it 6. The Start Location must be set to Current Location (this is the default) 7. Type in your End Location and touch Route in the top right corner 8. Touch Start in the top right corner and Siri should immediately start to speak.

Nice instructions, Peterla25...but the topic is: "iOS 6 - Maps No Sound" or better yet "NO VOICE DIRECTIONS for Maps or Google maps, thru the car's stereo system, for (at least) the Ford SYNC System"

:-)

My wife drives a 2013 Edge and she has the touch screen model...maybe it's easier for that, but you still have to select "Bluetooth Audio" for the system to work :-(
