iPhone/iOS 6 and a car stereo

I'm also having a Bluetooth problem with iOS 6 in my car stereo, and I'm not happy about it. Music will play over Bluetooth, but song data will not appear on the radio screen. If this doesn't get fixed, I'll go back to Android when my plan is up in a few weeks, no question. Any word from Apple on this?

Or maybe not. I did test some other musicplayer apps and it was still the same.

Somehow I got it working. I deleted the the ford audio in blutooth, then turned off the iPhone and stereo. Then turned the phone and car stereo, and entered the pin. then put car stereo in ex. device.

At first the sound were very distant, but from the car speakers....then plugged the aux-cable, and played music from aux in car-menu. Then unplugged aux from iPhone, and tried again from Bluetooth (external device). Now it suddenly played as supposed!!

Have no idea what the problem was, but its a SUCCESS,,

Tomorrow I try to solve my wifi problem.

Though, i think i'll wait with upgrading my iPad, though:)

Ah, finally got mine working. Apparently the iTunes match songs on my phone weren't behaving well after the iOS 6 upgrade and they were causing my "Music" app not to work. I restored my phone from scratch and now it is connecting fine to my Pioneer AVIC-F700bt.

I'm having the same problem with my X-CarLink on my mazda 6. It's a simple device that allows me to interface with the iphone to play music through the car stereo and use the car's stereo controls to change the music. Since updating to iOS 6 the device simply doesnt work. I can play one song if I have it playing before i plug in the iphone to the car, and I can't change the song using the car stereo. If I change the song on the iphone it just stops playing. The music also is only coming out of 1 channel since the update.

I wonder if apple is going to fix it. If they don't, no big deal, iOS6 is turning out to be a giant pile of **** anyway, so I guess i'll just have to downgrade.

I have a 2011 Chevy Silverado and the USB connection stopped working with iOS 6. It was working fine with version 5.

Just wanted to chime in that I'm having issues as well on my 3GS. I have a USA SPEC PA-HON2 adapter in my 2005 Honda Accord. Everything worked great before upgrading to iOS 6. Once iOS 6 was installed, I get no playback whatsoever. Not even through the iPhone itself when hooked up to the car stereo via the Dock connector. I try to play a song and it loops through the entire playlist over and over again constantly switching songs. No audio at all.

edit: Hrmm now that I try it, my iPhone won't play music at all. Same behavior as hooked up to the car stereo adapter.

Your post is lacking critical information.

My 5 will be here in a few hours so I can verify, but what stereo are you syncing with? Did it work on the iphone 4 with iOS6?

Yeah. Maybe iOS 6 isn`t the problem itself, it`s more like an installation over iOS 5 has some problems?

I upgraded my 4S from 5.1.1. to 6 and now my USB connection in my 2009 Honda Civic won't work for iPod out. It still charges, but won't play music. Really bummed about this.

I recommend doing a complete restore. I upgraded my 4S to 6 and my connection stopped working. Once I restored from scratch then it started working again.

I had iTunes Match turned on and there were a bunch of remnant song files after the upgrade, I'm thinking that was the problem??
