IOs 6: Auto Lock Bug iPhone 4S

Auto-Lock is not consistently turning of my screen.

It's a hit or miss.

Anyone else?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6

Well, the screen stayed on again, but I think I figured it out. If certain Apple apps are open such as settings, reminders,or photos, then it does not auto-lock.And I see why,if this is no bug. I use reminders for grocery shopping and the screen use to auto lock like should, but it became annoying when you have to keep unlocking to see the shopping list. It could be on purpose,to keep you screen on so you can finish what you are doing. If those apps are closed, then it auto-locks.

Hello everyone!

I'm having the same problem and I'm using iPhone 4. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And I didn't have any apps running. Just the home screen and yes, I do use AssistiveTouch.

I'm thinking it's a bug. My battery drains quicker than ever!

If it doesn't auto-lock when I'm using Reminders/any to-do apps then that's ok, I would love not to have unlock everytime I need to tick off my shopping list 🙂 Unfortunately that's not the case here.

I hope Apple will fix this. I am sure many are facing the same out there, they just probably don't report it.

solution : turn off all your apps in the multi task bar before u letting it to auto lock. it's made like this so that it will not annoy you when you're multi tasking or taking a short break. period to auto lock will not affect the functionability to auto lock.

This is not the solution. In all my testing, I purposely closed *all* apps in the taskbar to eliminate any variables caused by running apps.

As I previously mentioned, setting a 1 minute autolock seemed to help initially but after further testing, I've found that *not* to be the case.
