IOs 6: Auto Lock Bug iPhone 4S
Auto-Lock is not consistently turning of my screen.
It's a hit or miss.
Anyone else?

Exactly the same problems besides the auto lock problem issue. I hope Apple will release the bugs as sson as possible.....its really annoying to have such problems !!!!!
Totally agree. That's a new "behaviour" which came in with iOS 6 on the iPhone 4s. Apple, please get this fixed in 6.0.1 - or whatever the next fixpack is. Thanks!
I'm using iphone 5 and facing this bug when i turn on Assitive Touch. Resetting all settings haven't fixed it.
Hi SergZak,
Thanks for the tip. I pressed the home button (the real one, not assistive touch) and it does go to auto-lock.
For Everyone:
Solution = Do not use assistive touch at all. Lol. Or just press the home button instead of the one on the assistive touch if you want your device to go to sleep when at home screen.
Don't use assistive touch. I think it's because apple just want to make assistive touch more convenient (multi tasking puposes) by not letting your device go on auto lock.
Just press down the real home button instead and that will solve your problem.
Note to everyone: It's not a bug, more like a misunderstanding.
Well, you can always walk around a bug by not using a feature. Not sure that this is the way forward. For me Assistive Touch is a feature, because I find it pretty convenient. And it worked well in iOS 5. I think Apple should make it work properly again.
Everyone knows that neglecting the assistive touch makes you let the auto -lock use. That`s neighter a approach nor a solution ! The previos ios version didnt have such a problem like this...so people want to maintain the habit !
Oh dear, I have this problem too...to go along with the cellular data use on wifi, the battery drain, website crashes and map issue. I came on here looking to see why my phone wasn't engaging autolock and had no idea it was related to the assisted touch feature. I have since checked and can confirm this is indeed the culprit. Way to go Apple, how many serious issues in one software release??? Not a word from them, nothing to say that they are working on *any* of this and I find that disheartening. If I knew that I only had to limp through another week with this ruined phone then I'd be cool with it but I may be lumbered with some or all of these problems indefinitely!
I am starting to regret the update, now i am continuously starring my phone screen after use and if is turn off, then a sign a releive otherwise i am getting irritated with this bug. Apple must do something to resolve this bug.
I´ve just updated my 4S yesterday with iOS 6.0.1 and this bug... CONTINUES!!!!!!!!!! What happend Apple? Are you listening to your clients and this horrible bug????? I am starting to feel dissapointed of Apple.
Regards
That would be bad news...
Yes!! Mine is same with you. The bugs still there. This is so ****** me off!!!!
It's a "feature", not a bug. AT&T doesn't support GoPhone for iPhone use & likely had Apple make the change in iOS 6. Don't hold your breath for a "fix."
How do we report this problem direct to Apple? Moaning about things on here never seems to get anything fixed. If Apple didn't put 50c home buttons on these phones then we wouldn't have to use assistive touch in the first place!
