IOs 6: Auto Lock Bug iPhone 4S

Auto-Lock is not consistently turning of my screen.

It's a hit or miss.

Anyone else?

Accessibility is a feature to allow easy access for people with disabilities. Your selection is for Physical and Motor disabilitiies.

Various setting in this panel will alter the way iOS works so that people with disabilities will be able to use the phone. None are on by default.

There are security trade offs, but for someone with a motor disabilitiy being able to use the device which can be more important in this case, again dependent on the physical limitation.

@drstrangep0rk yes, I understand that. I used to be able to use assistive touch and the screen would auto lock automatically. Since the update, the auto lock doesn't work anymore with assistive touch running. Assistive touch may be under accessibility feature but you also need to realize that the home button on the iphone is very delicate (breaksdown after about a year of continuous usage usually and costs about 100 USD to repair at the apple store in the US) and we are trying to preserve the button for as long as we can by using the assitive touch function instead.

I think Apple just fixed it ! Read this atricle that came out today :http://appleinsider.com/articles/12/09/28/apple-fixes-accessibility-issues-with- new-ios-6-app-store-design . I tried the App store search today on apps that always crashed, and they seem to be working now ! But I need to use for a few days to be convinced. And I guess Voice Over works to now.

Hi

I'm on an iPhone 5 and the autolock only works infrequently - it's very annoying, because I won't use the phone without the accessibility touch, due to home button always wearing out on earlier models.

I don't think I should have to retore to a new phone either, I really wish Apple would resolve this rather than users

having to search fruitlessly for a solution.

Regards

It's a small thing I admit but it used autolock with assistive touch used to work fine but since the update, it no longer works. I have also noticed other glitches with IOS 6 as well such as app store crashing and maps crashing. I like some of the update features but why is apple releasing such a buggy software when IOS 5.1.1 worked just fine for me. I really can't wait for the new update now as I can't downgrade to IOS 5.1.1 either.
