IOs 6: Auto Lock Bug iPhone 4S

Auto-Lock is not consistently turning of my screen.

It's a hit or miss.

Anyone else?

I have the same problem too. I'm using iPhone 4s, after updating to iOS 6, autolock doesn't work. I have set to 1, 2, 3...minutes but still doesn't work. I have closed all the running apps and turn my 4s off but it doesn't fix the problem, still autolock failed. I have changed the passcode and nothing happens. Done with the reset also and nothing changed. I always use Assistive Touch as it makes the multitasking more easier so I don't want to disable the same. In iOS 5.1.1 the autolock performs perfectly. How come in iOS 6 doesn't work? I think Apple should fix this bug immediately. Unlike my New iPad, after going to iOS 6, it doesn't gives me the same problem. Apple, please help!

Well ,I was wrong on my previous posts, there is a bug if you use assistive touch. The other comments are correct, if you press the assistive touch button as the last action on your Idevice,it will not auto-lock. But if you touch the screen or move it a little after assistive touch,it will auto-lock correctly. I also see an advantage to this,in which you can control auto-lock. If there is an app that you want to be open longer than the auto-lock time, then click assitive touch and close. This will work great for Reminders and running tasks in a store. But thats just a minor bug.My huge issue is that app store keeps crashing in IOS 6 ! And its seems to be an Ipod Touch 4 issue....

I have the i4 and have only had this problem since I updated to IOS 6. I only use the assistive touch because the home button won't work properly on my phone which is very annoying considering I only have the phone over a year!!! I have the auto-lock timed for 1 min, I tried turning if off, changing it to 2 / 3 mins and it still doesn't auto-lock. The only time it auto-locks is if I have an app opened and have not used the phone for a few minutes or when I'm viewing something on my phone (msg, emails, setting) again not touching the screen for a few min it starts to auto-lock so there definitely seems to be a bug with IOS 6 especially since it worked perfectly fine on IOS 5!!!

Apple needs to get this sorted especially since a lot of people are having the same issue. Why provide these extra functionalities when their update causes a bug with them!
