After updating to iOS 6 iTunes Match does not load my music

iOS6 updated no problem on my iPad. All other apps working fine (although when are Google releasing YouTube and Maps! 😕)

I activated iTunes Match which was working previously fine, yet after upgrading to iOS6 all I get when I get when I go into music is the main screen with a picture of a cloud and an empty loading bar underneath. I have left this for an hour or so with no change.. I appreciate I have A LOT of music but this isn't right!

I have tried turning match off and back on, also rebooted the iPad but it has made no difference. Any one got any further suggestions.

Every time I turned off then on iTunes Match on the iPhone I got another duplicate set of 0:00 tracks.

iExplorer worked first time.

Poor show Apple. What happened to 'it just works'?

Steps:

1. Download and install iExplorer http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/

2. Plug in iPhone first, then open iExplorer

3. Delete the iPhone\Media\iTunes_Control folder (you can copy it to your laptop, just in case)

4. Reboot the iPhone

5. Turn on iTunes Match in settings.

6. Start Music app

IExplorer worked for me - first time on ipad although there was a wrinkle on iPhone. I kept kicking off the folder delete and it ran for hours and never finished. Eventually I looked in the itunes_control folder and deleted sub folders one by one. All would delete but one (device) had a file in it that kept being recreated - even with no apps running at all on the iPhone. Eventually I just tried the reset and turning on iTunes Match with that sub folder still present and found that it worked - I have my music back at last.

- il periodo in cui l'iTunes Match ha funzionato correttamente sull'iPad è durato solo qualche settimana;

- in seguito, anche se tutti i brani della Cloud venivano visualizzati sull'iPad, dava problemi nel senso che i brani non venivano riprodotti e, inoltre, la durata veniva indicata in "zero" per tutti i brani, sicchè, cliccandoci, non venivano riprodotti;

- ho provato a disattivare e riattivare l'iTunes Match e, a questo punto il dispositivo ha dato il messaggio "tutta la tua libreria musicale verrà sostituita con quella su iTunes Match", mentre, nell'applicazione "MUSICA" erano spariti tutti i brani: veniva visualizzata, al centro della pagina, la nuovoletta del Cloud, con una barra di download sotto. Questo è durato per circa quattro giorni, senza che succedesse nulla, nel senso che la barra del download non mostrava segni di caricamento;

- allora ho provato a ripristanare le impostazioni e, a questo punto, erano visualizzati di nuovo i brani, ma comunque senza possibilità di riprodurli (la durata di nuovo indicata come "zero");

- nel momento in cui ho provato a cliccare su uno dei brani, è riapparsa la nuvoletta del Cloud con la barra di download sotto;

- quando i brani ricompaiono, hanno sempre durata zero e non vengono riprodotti;

- ho attivato anche la condivisione in famiglia ma il problema non cambia.

Vi preciso che il mio iPad è della prima generazione ed è aggiornato all'IOS 6.

This fix didn't work for me. I have about 4,300 songs and decided to try iTunes Match. iTunes Match backed up some songs but others did not get backed up. Those songs that did not get backed up show a "Waiting" status under the iCloud column in iTunes. Example: all songs in Steely Dan's 2000 album, "Two Against Nature". There is no way I know of to force iTunes to push the song into the Cloud. Because these songs cannot be backed up into iCloud they also cannot be played on other devices, such as iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, etc.

Is there a fix besides iExplorer and shutting down/restarting iTunes Match?

Thanks,

Carl Cygan

P.S. Come on Apple, give us a decent fix. I'm sorry I ever upgraded to iOS 6.0 on my iPhone 4S 64GB.
