ios 6 slow

My girl friend and I updated from iOS 5.1.1 ,or whatever, to iOS 6. She has in iPhone 4 and i have an iPod Touch 4th Generation. i know that it's normal for an update to be a good thing and that this OS should make things faster if anything, but on both of our phones everything is slow... i mean everything... safari will work momentarily and very fast at that but it will eventually freeze up again, the app store is also either fast for a few seconds or slow for several minutes. Neither or our devices are "jailbroken" so i was wondering why the majority of the reviews and discussions on the new update have nothing to do with lags and being slow. Everyone's talking about how great, fast, or cool, or complaining about maps or siri. What can i do to fix this ... surely the iOS wouldn't be available models unless it worked... HELP!!!

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6, NOT JAILBROKEN

You are incorrect sir... In some cases... If you don't restore as a new device then add backup info you can experience problems. I have experienced this myself... Not trying discount your knowledge of apple devices... Just dispute your statement as I, and many others have experience that very phenomenon.... Most recently with my iPad 3... First instal was a train wreck.. Had to do it over again as described in forums to have it function as it should... Remember... The intent of these forums is to help;) let's do that...

I admit I am not a whiz with my Ipad but I shouldn't have to be. I tried numerous suggestions and nothing worked then suddenly over the weekend coonections suddenly returned to near normal, but and there is always a but now the cards suddenly disappear during the middle of a game or not at all at the beginning of a game. I tried all the same fixes again but they aren't helping

I guess I will chime in and complain. Now that jobs has kicked the bucket, apple is now on the decline. Which is fine, whoever takes over is who I will buy.

I upgraded my iphone4 to iOS6.

1. App Store is SLOOOOOW, and it crashes. Never had this problem before.

2. Podcast App. Has anyone any friggin Apple even tried this App? Try to download anything you touch the download button and it sits there forever and hangs. It is slow beyond slow.

Seriously to the people who are imbeciles and will love anything apple puts out. I love my iphone4 but with this update, podcast downloading *****, and I had to download some other app browser because the dang app store hangs and/or crashes on me.

Is there something I'm missing here? Do I need to do a fresh wipe of my phone and start over???

Luckily, I jumped ships when I did, and started gravitating towards Android. Everyone in my family, including my poor Fiance'e, still uses their IOS devices primarily, and have been having issues ever since the update. The kids really do not complain too much, as long as their games still load, but my fiance'e hates her's now. For her sake, I hope when she buys a 5g Ipod touch next month, the extra ram and faster cpu will help speed things up, because, as it stands, she rarely uses it now without much complaining.
