Anyone still having IOS 6 wifi issues?

I'm currently waiting on Apple support to call me back about this issue, but I thought I would reach out here to see if anyone else is having similar issues.

I upgraded to IOS 6 yesterday afternoon, and immediately after I could no longer connect to the Wifi at my place of employment. Everyone had this issue, no big deal.

Went home, Wifi worked fine.

Came into work this morning and I am still unable to connect. I have tried all of the various recommended fixes, and even gone so far as to do a complete restore. I work at a university with multiple networks and access points and have tried connecting to several, both secure and unsecure, with no luck.

This is what happens:

Unsecure Networks: Attempt to connect, wheel spins, Error Message: "Unable to Connect"

Secure Network: Attempt to connect, prompted for password, enter password, Error Message: "Incorrect Password" (Yes I entered the correct password, I tried multiple times, and the IT tech was able to connect to it with his iPad 2 running IOS 5)

I am also not the only one, everyone on campus who has upgraded their iPad 3 to IOS 6 is unable to connect. (All staff/factulty have iPads, most have upgraded)

I have spoken with the IT department and they are baffled, they have tried rebooting various routers and access points to no avail.

Obviously there is something different happening in IOS 6 that is causing these issues. My question is has anyone else encoutered this issue, and if so what have you done to fix it?

I have seen people above who have upgraded firmware on their personal wireless routers with success, but for a university with literally hundress of access points and routers this is out of the question, at least in the short term.

Same issue. I was on the phone with tech support three different times this morning. Before contacting them, I reloaded everything from iTunes, did all the settings on iPad, reset router ect. during the three calls, they wanted me to do each of these things. It corrected the wifi connectivity for approx. 5 min. The final call they set me up for an appt. at the Apple store. Luckilly they had a slot today - Sunday. standing room only. While waiting in line and chatting with a long time Apple user, he said to never to the updates for at least 2 months because there's always problems. Hindsite. they swapped my IPad 3 out and gave me a new one. I was still within my 1 year warranty. the new iPad didn't have the osi 6. Working perfect. all my apps, pictures ect. Restored beautiful. I spoke to a total of 4 apple reps-(three on the support line and the tech in the Apple store) all were surprised there was any problems. seriously? Glad to be up and running.

Yeah, we're having the issue as well. We actually downloaded iOS6 on day one, had a slight issue but "Forgot Network" then reconnected just fine. But now all of a sudden my wife can't connect to our home WiFi and now I can't. WHAT THE FLIP APPLE? Come on now. We're all faithful Apple fans and I think we deserve some sort of answer. This is Microsoft type crap .Fix this please!!

Back from the A-store. What a waste of time. Wow I’m floored. Like I said earlier while I was waiting for the genius I was able to connect to the stores wifi without issue. Figures. Spoke with the genius and was told my wifi issue is with my ISP and router and that I should contact them to get the settings right. Imagine that! I mentioned my other 4 wireless devices are not having a problem connecting and neither did my 4s when it was on ios 5. This whole appointment thing started with my second call to A-Support just to see if there was a way to go back to ios 5 or to see when a patch would be released. No you can’t downgrade? That makes no sense. Isn’t it 2012???? This is computer science 101. Talking with the engineer during the support call it was recommended that I go to the A-store for further trouble shooting and if the issue couldn’t be resolved they would replace my 4s with a new 4s that somehow would have ios 6 already installed and all my dreams would come true….. When mentioning this to the genius he said the only way that could happen is if there was a hardware issue. Around that time the super-genius came around and we started talking about the wifi issues after the ios 6 release, he actually said that I was the first one he’s been aware of with a 4s wifi issue. They couldn’t even reference my A-case number for info about my two support calls because of some store policy. So instead of totally wasting my 50mi round trip drive I let them do a reset of my 4s wipe the device and install ios 6. Then I would need to test when I got home.

So needless to say I still can connect to my router. I’ve spent the last 1 hour restoring my device with a backup of my data.

Oh, one other thing. The genius mentioned there would be a patch released in several weeks.

It looks like the driving force behind the ios 6 release was the iPhone 5 release. Don’t you love it when projects/products are driven by due dates.

Steve, we miss you man.....

So clean cyclist, the Apple Genius actually said they hadn't heard of this issue yet???? REALLY?! Hmm, seems to be a GLOBAL ISSUE so they must not be able to connect to the Wi-Fi to hear about it! This really is unacceptable. We spend a TON of money on Apple devices and now they're going to turn their backs on us? We should not have to reset our routers or any other BS because THEY broke something serious. I truly believe a class-action law suit should be sought here. What about people who depend on these devices? Wow Apple...major FAIL. And yeah, really missing Steve. He'd never have let this go by.

Upgraded to iOS 6 on my iPad Saturday. Took numerous tries, since it kept saying I wasn't connected to the network, but it finally took. Now it will run for a while, then seemingly lose the wifi connection - everything stops working, even though the settings show it as connected. Turning wifi off then reconnecting fixes it, but doing that every 20 minutes or so is getting to be annoying. Netflix does not work at all now - started a show last night, ran for about 3 minutes, now I just get 'error, try again later' every time. S glad I didn't have enough space on my iPhone to upgrade, but I'm about to scream with the iPad.....
