App Store Keeps Crashing iOS 6 iPod4

I know I'm not the only one with this problem! It's driving me insane! Ever since I updated to iOS 6 the App Store has been a mess! No matter what I do, it crashes. Especially when I try to search for an app! It instantly crashes on me! This needs to be fixed!

My iPod is doing the exact same thing. I have an iPod 4, and ever since I downloaded the new update, whenever I go to search something in the App Store, the App Store crashes completely so I can't download anything. Please tell me if this gets resolved. This is serious bull. My brother also has an iPod 4 and he is having the same problem so it's not my iPod.

I am sorry but I cannot be patient for this to be fixed. Apple only tests there iOS updates on FRESH products, they don't test it with a device that is used for daily uses. They really need to start doing that. They need to get a

daily-used iPod and back it up. Then they need to put that backup on a fresh iPod with the test iOS 6 and test everything out. That would make there products more efficient. PLEASE DO THIS APPLE! 😟

I have an iPhone 4 and a 3rd gen iPad. On both devices, the App Store is a complete joke. When it doesn't crash, it takes forever to load, runs slow, and even the scrolling is laggy/jittery. It's almost as bad as the Podcasts app.

What happened, Apple? Your software used to set standards for smoothness, ease of use, and stability. However, judging from Maps, Podcasts, and the new App Store, something seriously went wrong. This isn't an isolated issue, here. What became of the legendary Apple quality? I'm starting to worry about a return to the dark ages of the 90s, if this trend keeps up...

Albeit I have spat my guts out stating my experience so far, I must once again comment. I 100% second the observations from the part of Bluesdealer, for both the AppStore and the PodcastApp... well it seems that we kind of overlooked the issues there... and apart from whatever crashes etc there is indeed a distinctive lag in many cases.

Bluesdealer had every reason to be pessimistic, not because there are signs of mismatch, but because Apple does not react to the manifestation of our frustration.

Sorry Tim, Sir, but frankly I do not see the purpose of your apology for the drawbacks of the Maps App, as long as the iOS6 adaptation to our multitude of former devices is so poor. No reasonable individual would deny the probability of errors when it comes to high tech evolution, but we are counting more than half a month as of the update and there the "radio silence" from your labs is disappointing. It is not a matter of our word against yours, Apple. Neither is it the attitude of spoiled "fan boys". It is just that we are pretty sure and aware of the way our precious devices react "post mortem" (!) and the fact that you insist on ignoring our standard yet indisputable awareness, is insulting to us. Apple, please BEHAVE!

You'd think Apple would be all over this since it's keeping people from buying product from the stores. Simple greed should be urging them to resolve this issue. Perhaps their vast cash reserves are keeping them from thinking clearly. Perhaps they don't need any more money with all their raking in from the new iPhone 5. They don't really need all of us older product users. As a matter of fact, why haven't you all upgraded to newer stuff yet!!!!

I'm about ready to move on. Apple's cache is dying.

I have two Apple IDs: One in the US which I hardly use (I've only used it to purchase a FEW apps) and one that I use here in Thailand all the time.

The AppStore only crashes with the Thai Apple ID -- the one that I've used to purchase over 260 apps. I'm thinking this has a LOT to do with the number of apps it's trying to load, with all the extra bells-n-whistles Apple included... I'm not surprised.

I am surprised that it's crashing on the iPhone 4 and 4s as well (based on the reports here). I'm using a 3GS.

Can someone else confirm this? That it crashes only on accounts that have loads of purchases?
