Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
After updating my iPod Touch 4G (bougth August 2012) to iOS 6, my app store crashes whenever I try to search anything. It's really annoying and I'm wondering whether it is a bug or something else. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if you did how did you fix it? Please help me because it's really frustrating knowing you can't search new apps because your app store crashes all the time.

Yes, many people are currently having this problem. As of this post, my App Store (White iPod touch 4G updated yesterday) is working fine. I guess it's pretty random right now. We'll have to wait it out.
I updated to iOS 6.0.1 and even did a fresh restore to iOS 6.0.1 and didn't set up anything (no apps, music settings etc) I set it up with my Apple Id and go it so I could go to the Ap Store and that's it. I tried to view purchased items and it will sit there on loading and then the App Store will crash. That's annoying. Not to mention Safari is still crashing when I zoom in on some websites, such as the iPhone 5 page on Apple.com.
Has there been any update on this. I have 2 4G ipods to get ready for Xmas. I have updated the 1st one to ios 6.01 and when I go to the purchased section of the App store to download apps from the icloud. I get spinning wheel and then a crash.
Any advice will bemuch appreciated.
Hello scott messom, i just got my ipod touch 4g December 24, and i updated my device to 6.0.1. I tested out the apple store and it seems to be working fine. I left it open forr 10 minutes now while typing this message. The app store never closed on me.
I have noticed that safari crashes when more than 3 apps are open simultanoeuly (at least for me). It does crash on zooming. On reading the logs, it seems to be outofmemory errors. Maybe memory leaks. Restarting the device does help but the problem still persists for me after a few days of use. This is dissapointing coming from apple. Though this is not te first time they have disspointed me though. 😐
i'm experincing the same problem and its really annoying that my apps keep crashing and crashing.. i have to turn my ipod 4g off and on it again for the apps to work, and it will be good for days then it will start crashing again. aren't there any solution to this? its really disappointing.
