iPhone 5 Apple.com Orders Showing Oct. 5th Delivery

Hey guys, I ordered my phone on the 14th at 5:30am EST (2:30am PST) so I was 2 and a half hours late. I ordered from Apple.com (which I am regretting now). Anyways, I was curious if anyone ordered around the same time as me and if they were able to get any tracking updates. I tried the "Track By Reference" option while inputting my phone number and nothing is showing up. The only thing that shows is Apple.com saying delivery on Oct. 5th (boo!).

f it i canceled my order by time they process and ship i can go to store and get one this i was too much

Hope this is a good sign: My order is now in "Preparing for Shipment" status, and my card is now "Processing" the full charge. Crossing fingers. 😝

I was passing by the local Best Buy on the way to work, and I didn't see a line at all. I actually debated taking a slight break from work to grab one. Unfortunately, my order status just changed to "preparing for shipment" so I cannot cancel it. I guess it wasn't meant to be I guess. Here's to everyone who will get it next week (assuming mine ships today).

I've already seen many defects mounting up on the "Iphone 5" section of the forum, and the only one that concerns me is the yellowing glue. Maybe this belated shipment will give the glue more time to cure.

Unless they changed all our orders to "Preparing for Shipment" JUST so we could not cancel our orders today and get one from the stores.... hmmmmmm LOL

You know... that actually crossed my mind this morning. I'm hoping the extra time will help cure that glue issue. I'm guessing that putting the phone directly into an Otterbox or LifeCase won't help it any.

Track by REFERENCE

Type in your phone number, country and zip code

It will pull up your tracking number and status.

Interesting. I feel like mine was saying preparing for shipment all along. Maybe not. I do really think we'll get them sooner than we think. The question is just...WHEN?! Thanks for the updates. I'm looking forward to any updates on here because it may be one of you guys saying yours shipped. Haha.
