To add my voice, yes it's terrible. On 4S my battery used to last all day with moderate use. Now it's dead in 5 hours. I lose 15% an hour at least and nothing I do to reduce use fixes it.

No turning off apps, not turning off LS or notifications. It's totally rubbish. I may as well carry a phone with a cord around.

I am resisting doing a total reset but will if nothing changed or Apple don't acknowlege a problem in the next few days.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just returned from a business trip where my battery failed halfway thru the day (and whats up with the Twitter freeze??)

I've been a loyal fan for decades. Today = 3 MacBook Pros, 2 ipads, and this is my 3rd phone (my husband has had 4), 2 apple tvs, airport....come on.

Apple, you have until Monday. Then I'm buying an Android and ditching it all. iPhone for business? No, its not.

I think the biggest difference in iOS other than maps is passbook. Since its a location based app, it will try to constantly look for your location (GPS) to be able to present to you the passbooks that are near you. It will do this even when the phone is locked and not "in use". I turned that off and I am getting improved battery performance.

Let's just face facts: this upgrade is a shambles!

Battery life on my 4S has harved and I am now having to charge it three times over 48 hours. Before the iOS6 upgrade I only had to charge it every day or so!

And while I am winging - how dare Apple delete a superb program (Google Maps) on MY phone which I OWN and replace it with an inferior Beta product that is frankly rubbish. Who owns this phone? I seem to remember paying a lot of money for it!,

This is the sort of corporate arrogance that you used to get from Microsoft - beware the slippery slope Apple - the bigger you are the harder you fall!

Looks like I am in good company. I stupidly updated to iOS 6 yesterday and now my iPhone 4 battery lasts about 25% as long as it used to. It ran down to 22% overnight after being fully charged, during which time I listened to a bit of music. I have notifications and location services turned off except for "find my phone" and safari for use by Google maps. Well, at least I know that buying an iPhone 5 won't solve this problem.

I sure hope Apple fixes this quickly.
