Apple has been dropping the ball for so long, tech wise, but it seems that the little embellishments seem to sway the so called pundits. Why can't they solve a simple problem like Bluetooth connection when all other makers have solved this problem. Earpieces cannot connect and that is so sad. Then they cry foul when they lose the competition to Samsung. After this piece I'm returning the 5c I bought 3 days ago because it can't connect to my earpiece whereas my LG and Samsung could easily connect. After reading through the threads I see several people with the same problem. I don't think Apple even look at this community. With that said I'm going back to my Android. Cheerio, friends, amis, amigos! I hope you also see the writhing on the wall!

My bluetooth working now well with my Phonetool on Audi A3. The bluetooth set of my A3 was changed.

Now I can use my Iphone to phone over the Audi Phonetool, I can also see my Kontakt from the Iphone on the Console of my A3.

If I use the "Card" Tool from my IPone, the sound goes only over the speaker from the IPhone an not over the

Car speakers. Gives in the Iphone the posibility to switsch betwen this speakers?

sorry for the bad english.

very true , the biggest company with the most minimal task .... its like once you buy any idevice apart from computers . nothing works , they just sit around like a box and nothing can penetrate where as android has atleast bluetooth to connect . apple has bluetooth and airdrop but only OS dependent like iOS to iOS and OSX to OSX . Someone should work on it .

I have had the following problem: I upgraded the OS on my 5 to 7.0.3 (and my wife bought a 5s and loaded it from the iCloud back up of her old iPhone 5), and then we found that the phones were unable to find any of the bluetooth devices we owned (6 speakers, Subaru BRZ, phone headsets, etc). My old HTC connected fine, friends' Samsungs connected fine, but the iPhones were unable to find any of the devices. All devices were purchased within the past 9 months and all devices were operating the latest Bluetooth protocols (AV data transport, AV control transport, telephony control, etc)

We took the phones to the Apple store and the Bluetooth frustratingly checked out fine (both were working and able to connect in the store to various devices and the Bluetooth system appeared to be functioning normally) and the Genius told us to go home and try it again. So we took the phones home and only to find that we still unable to connect to anything in the house.

We then did a network reset on the phones without success. We followed this with a full factory reset with reload from the iCloud back-ups - again no luck.

We then went and did hard factory resets on all 9 devices and re-paired each of them with the phones individually. Since then, the phones have been connecting to the existing bluetooth devices almost as well as a Samsung and we have been fine ever since. And yes, it is a real annoyance to have to do a factory reset on your car's computer, every speaker, phone headset, etc to simply let the phone do what a 5 year-old HTC could do. I now live in fear of another Apple upgrade.

I have no idea why that worked, but seriously Apple - you guys need to work this out.

I have the same issue here in Saudi Arabia with Apple Iphone 5s bluetooth. My friend and I brought Iphone 5s each of us last night and we try to pair both Iphone 5s today through bluetooth and we place the Iphone together at least half of an inch apart assuming both discoverable and wait spinning wheel for two hours just waiting to be pairing. Both Iphone 5s never seen each other and failed to pair each other..Imagine the same Iphone 5s model cannot pair each other..where's the problem?

I have an old Samsung Galaxy tab and I'm trying to pair with Iphone 5s and assuming both device are discoverable. The result, Galaxy tab will be able to find Iphone 5s and be able to pair but not connected while the Iphone 5s keep spinning its wheel still looking for bluetooth device.

This my first time to have an Iphone since 2007 and I want to ask Apple if this bluetooth features on Iphone 5s is usable?

I'm so happy to hold and show to my friends this Iphone 5s.

My Bluetooth hasn't worked sines updating to iOS7. I have a Motorola Elite Sliver and an iPhone 5. It's not the Bluetooth device it's iOS7. Anyone who's done any surfing of Apples "support", and I use that term loosely, community would see its a widespread problem with vehicle and other portable Bluetooth devices.

I'd love to see where Apple said in their user agreement that certain Bluetooth devices may not be compatible with the now iOS.

On my ipod same thing. It keeps searching but never find anything. I took my ipod to service, i got a new one and it does not work also. So i called apple support and they told me it should be because my ipod now has a software version 1.0.2 and could made the ipod incompatible with my headphone and stereo. My headphones were bought last yearso i could think something like that, bu t my stereo was boughtless than 3 months ago.....

Well. It seems that we need to bring the software. Version to the old one.... I have no idea on how to do it! Please somebody help!

Agree. In dutch: klote ding. Since iOS7 no BT connection possible.

Dont say its my hardware. THe iphone 4s (same as mine) from a friend of mine, who has his phone not upgraded, that one works fine.

A co worker, same thing, no upgrade and it works.

My daughter with update...nothing just like mine.

HTC is my choice. I need to call handsfree in Holland by law.

By great iphone, thanks iOS 7.

I had the same problem, I went to Bluetooth setup and everything was on and connected, but the screen was blank, it didn't show the files I wanted. So I went to my Phone (Samsung) and made each file viewable via bluetooth. Ex: Phone >MENU> MORE OPTIONS> BLUETOOTH VISIBILITY and then I could see the files on my MacPro screen. It worked.
