Utterly invasive and arrogant. Apple puts out this Update tha is inferior and stripped of Google Maps/You Tube and other exotic enhancements that have just ruined my 4S iphone I travel a lot and the MAPS are absolutely useless. I have ended up several times in God's half acre instead of my destination with precious time wasted. Don't fix it if it ai'nt Broke !! There is no other application that requires trust like a map. These maps are terrible and there is no way to send in corrections.

How do you EVER get the trust back Apple? How can we ever trust these maps? Are you going to tell me I can trust them and I should believe you? I don't think so.

Am hurt and disgusted!!! Loyal users who have helped drive up Apple stock sevenfold in 3 years are dumped on because Apple is trying to dump on Google?? I searched for a resort near my home and found the position 10 miles off. Started looking at more areas around the country and found many more errors. I used Google Maps on my 4 phone daily, now I cannot trust it. And now no street view???? How absolutely arrogant!!!

I agree with you guys, for Apple to span the globe and correct every mistake there is seems like a never ending task and one I am not about to wait for them to get done. I have reported a lot of the missing businesses and miss placed icons in my area using the report tool so we shall see how long it takes for them to change it.

It does sound like Google would be willing to put Googlemaps back into iOS and so for me this is a no brainer. Apple have to swallow their pride and put their customers first rather than their ego. Sure, go away and work on Apple maps, if in a years time it's upto par then I'm sure people would give it a go as a free and optional alternative.

Come on Apple wake up and smell the coffee, there really is only one smart move here.

Detroit Airport doesn't exist. Nearly missed my flight when Apple maps put me in a ghetto 35 miles from the airport. Unbelievable! How do I get Google maps back!😢

Actually you can't (get Google Maps back). You unfortunately are limited to using a browser (Safari or Opera - I prefer Opera on my iPhone) and find "goodle maps" that way but what I got then is NOT DYNAMIC like won't give you directions, just the location. see following article

The problem Apple have is there are just so many errors to correct. If I concentrate on a 20 mile radius from my home, I can find hundreds of errors in Maps without having to look very hard.

I think Apple should forget the 3D fly pasts and concentrate on getting the basic 2D map data correct (like the names and locations of towns, stations and airports).

I guess many of these problems could be solved by downgrading to ios 5, even though Apple won't support it

I also agree. According to 'Crap Maps' my house in Brighton, UK is an Indian Restaurant and when viewed in Satellite its look like a grey gooey mess! This is the worst App or Application that Apple has produced and speaks volumes for the mismanagement of the company, the lack of quality control and above all arrogance of them to let the App go public.

Apple, you should restore Google Maps until such time that you App ia at least as good as Googles. But, you won't, your arrogance will not allow you to admit your errors and make a gesture towards your customers.

Dump 'Crap Maps'!

Hear hear! That is a huge problem - we have shops, hotels and Bed & Breakfasts in our small village who cannot now be found by any iPhone users. This should not have been sent without a warning. I am sad that I cannot trust Apple after a huge investment in my iPhones and accessories .. never again! Android, here I come! This is about trust!

Decided to test out Apple Maps a little. Here's the worst I've gotten so far:

-Showed a golf course in the middle of a University that hasn't been there for years

-Showed a shopping mall that doesn't exist any longer, probably 5 years

-Gave wrong directions to a major hospital in my area

sept 12 they knew that the product was not ok..........they lunch it anyway...iphone 5 and OS6 .

preorder sept 14.......millions are sold............in preorder... the maps are still no ok

sept 21......thaey sold a record 8 millions...the maps are not ok......and APPLE KNEW THAT THE MAPPS

Even now in iOS 9.1 and 9.2 Apple Maps are wholly unacceptable.

I tried to locate my local courthouse in Crawford County Kansas and showed me 300 miles away east. I was trying to find a local restaurant and did not locate hardly any businesses. Was driving up US 69 N to Kansas City and knew there was a QuickTrip close but wanted to know "how far" until I got to the exit.. Looked up the closest on over 80 miles away...

I can do all the same with Google Maps and it ALWAYS finds the right and accurate information. That QuickTrip was only 15 miles ahead. The CourtHouse was 16 Miles away. When I am looking for a restaurant.. I get them ALL!

Apple why do you insist on such deep integration and do not allow 3rd parties to do a better job? Your incompetence and lack of commitment to quality and unsurpassed excellence is obvious.. You only make Google and others look competent and highlight your lack of commitment and core competency on your OWN platform on your OWN hardware.

If you can't do it the best or even the same than DELETE your stupid app and do us all a favor and let others help us navigate safely and accurately.

I HATE all things Google but they are the ONLY navigation application BAR NONE! and now with live traffic re-routing.. Voice.. Wow.. They should be my default navigation app for my iOS devices!
