battery life on ios6

I would have to agree that battery is not good with ios 6 iphone 4. big issue here.... I NEVER am less than 80% when I come home from work. Today I was 35%

This os 6 upgrade is one of the worst Apple updates to date

my battery value often is on 100%.. when i restarted iphone and ipad , that change to 96% for example..

yeah, i just upgraded from 5.1.1 to ios6 and from 100% it has dropped to 96 in around 15 minutes 😢

Battery life is TERRIBLE. I've switched off most of the Location Services that were switched on by default after upgrading. Seems to have helped a bit on my wife's 3GS, but my 4S is 5hrs into the day and down to 17%.

Won't even stay charged over night so nearly missed the alarm this morning as the phone had gone flat from 100% charge overnight.

Bluetooth off - only location services switched on are for Weather, Safari, Camera and Siri and Find My Phone. Even switched off Maps, which seems a bit pointless having to switch it on each time I need maps.

I've gone back to ios 5.1.1 🙂

I think it's an app causing the issue. I update my iPad on Wednesday and noticed a quick battery drain. I didn't update my iPhone until this morning, but with 5.1, my battery started to drain quickly. Two different iOS, same problem. It has to be something in app that came on board while upgrading apps. It would be hard to isolate the issue, given the number of apps that upgrade in a given attempt.

My battery life has also decreased significantly since the ios 6 upgrade .

ladies and gentlemen.....i think i found a simple solution but its the only way to fix the problem until apple decides to gives us a patch.

i have an iphone 4s and yesterday i did the upgrade to 6.0

this morning i noticed my battery was draining faster than normal then i decided to do this.

i did a full reset and when i set it up i did it as a new iphone without using any of the restore points.

before you do this you need to make sure your contacts and photos are stored in icloud.

once you are all done with the restore you need to do all the tips for battery life including turning off gps on stuff you dont need and how often data is pushed from the server. one thing i like to do is every morning when i charge my phone is i clear the cache and browser history and close any open apps and then i shut down, wait a few minutes and turn back on

i work on the street nearly 11 hours daily and i listen to music, watch youtube videos, browse the web, use facebook and instagram and by the time i go home i still have 20% left in the battery

I have the same problem.

After updating from 5.1.1 to 6.0, my iphone 4s drains battery very quickly, about 20-30% faster than on 5.1.1 with the same settings.

I've tried to restore my iphone, restore as a new device, reset all setiings, restore from DFU mode and nothing helped.

So, Apple, please fix this terrible BUG and solve our problems!

Horrible. This phone is now wrothless to me as it drains from a full charge over my 8 hour work shift. I cannot charge the phone while working and need it on me in case of family emergency. I only use it during my lunch half hour, no elaborate usage. Apple, let us retore back to 5.1.1, or fix this fast, else I will have to get an android. 😟

Same here, battery incredible fast down. Almost 10% per hour... Don't know why. Friend of mine has almost no drainage in the same time. While I am down to 35 % after 7 hours he will still have 80% after 24 hours.
