iMessage won't work after iOS 6 upgrade
Since I've installed iOS 6, it seems my iMessage will not work correctly.
Any suggestions on how I could fix this?

HI,
II've done the same thing asyhou and it works most of the time now.
BUT, does anyone know what it means when you type in a contacts name to send a text msg to and it comes up RED with an exclamation point.....their phone number is where in sending it to and is in the persons contact info and is a valid number.
Just curious! I need help!
thanks.
My Suggestion is Restoring back to its original settings, it may work better after that.
It means they are not Registered with iMessage- In shorter words...They don't use iMessage.
By any chance have any of you been modifying TinyTower? Did anyone mess with their keychain-2.db file?
If keychain-2.db is not properly chowned back to _securityd, or if the file is deleted completely, it can cause this behavior.
Dude, i got the same problem on my 3rd generation iPad! I totally feel for you!
I made a different iCloud account yesterday, and now my iMessage won't work. It was fine before I changed my iCloud. Anyone have any advice?
I recently lost the ability to send a group text - it would show on my iPhone 5 as sent but the recipients on iPhone 4's would not receive it. I upgraded to version 6.1.3 a while ago and iMessage was working properly after the upgrade, so I don't think the upgrade was directly related. I used the idea from a previous post - I went to Settings/Messages and turned off iMessages. I re-booted the phone, turned iMessages back on and the group text began working again.
I recently lost the ability to message on my ipad also and finally got it going but am unsure which process did the trick.
First, I removed my email from iMessage and kept only me cell number. Next, I set the clock to automatically update. Once I did that my messages started working again. Who knows?

That would be me.
I had a 5yr old try to guess the passcode on my phone until it was completely disabled.
I had to delete keychain-2.db to undo (since I wanted to avoid a complete restore)
But now I can't get iMessages to activate
The new keychain-2.db has this:
Ownership
Owner: _securityd,
Group: wheel
Access Permissions
User: Read, Write
Group:
World:
Is there anything I can do to fix it?
