OMG! Man your iPod touch never connect. Your Bluetooth connect only with accessories like keyboard !
This is so funny. I am an apple developer and I've reported this issue about 4 days before iOS 6 was live and waited for about a week for apple to respond with a "is this still happening ?" message. Like **** man, just test it yourself before asking stupid questions. Now everyone is complaining because they released beta software basically. So yeah, not even developers are listened to...
I really believe they figure that its onlnot a big deal cause its only the iPod touch 4th Generation users. They need to focus on the other important things.
I'm counting down the minutes to when I can contact Apple over this. 37.....
I don't even care about Maps, lost wallpaper or any other UI changes people are complaining about.
MY IPHONE 4S IS NEXT TO USELESS WITH IOS6. Crashing everywhere, not just app stores. Settings (ironically) seems to be the worst. I can't backup to iCloud, fails everytime. The brightness of the phone just changes whenever it wants to. My calls are dropping out too.
Worst thing right now is my battery. It's losing about 1% a minute. Not even kidding. This is with no apps running at all, on lock. The back of the phone is INSANELY hot. I litterally had to cool it down with a can of compressed air. Not one of my happiest user experiences.
I've attemped to download the ispw 5.1.1 from various sites, all fail to verify with apple. I've restored the phone under the older version of itunes, no change. Upgraded to 10.7 this morning. Bout to backup to computer then run restore AGAIN. I have reset my phone and settings numerous times. Nothing is working and its stressing me out in a big way. I keep thinking my phone is now a pretty brick or worse, a safety hazard.
I will call Apple this morning let you all know how I get on. My hopes are definitely not up on this one though.
Seriously, I've gone from Apple Fanboy to p***ed off customer in 24hrs. Didn't think that would ever happen.

I've been testing for about half hour and realized that the Offline Reading List feature isn't working on the iPod Touch 4th Gen. When I add a page to the reading list and after close safari then put my iPod touch in airplane mode, that page I saved in reading list doesn't open. I get the big Safari logo in the center and a message under it " Safari cannot open the page because your iPod touch is not connected to the Internet" I tried on my iPhone and iPad 2 and both devices worked. Any body else experience this? I'd like to know. Thanks
Anybody here notice also, if you go to iTunes on the computer then go to section Store where you check your account information. Well once there if you want to report a problem about an app or song you've purchased you can't do it anymore. I bought an NBA app a while ago for 7.99 as an in-app-purchase now I'm trying to "restore my purchases" within the app but nothing is happening. So when I went to iTunes and report this, it just links you to the the Apple Support Community. I recall if you report a problem in iTunes it actually sends them an email and not link you to the Apple Support Community.
If Apple doesn't change their mindset and go back to their roots with and Steven Job's ideology of having a good product and software, then all the negative comments from critics about how Apple "jumped the shark" with the 4S to the iPhone ending up like the Zune or Sony Betamax, people will be going elsewhere to buy their smartphones. Then again, Samsung is screwing over their smartphone customers with poor warranty and customer support and their sales are very good. I only wish I had a crystal ball to predict the future with Apple and the iPhone.
I think you need learn from this. Don't update your OS for at least a month or two after it's been out. Then read all possible criticism about it. This is something I tell people. Of course, I never take my own advice. 😊
Homer888,
My Wife and I will both hold off for a couple of weeks or possibly a month before updating both our iDevices to iOS 6.
I will definitely take your advice and heed the warning.
Thank you Sir.
I have an iPod touch as well and the App Store is screwing with me too. But... I know a like hack to search apps differently. I use Safari and Google the app on there. That way I can find the app there and once I do, it will send me to the App Store with the app I want to download. We have to wait until Apple makes iOS 6.0.1 with the fix App Store for the older devices.
I've experienced the same problem. My workaround is to use the AppShopper Application to search and launch the App store especifically on the app I want.
Hey guys I figured out a way to browse apps through the search bar in the App Store, the least possible way of crashing on ios 6, after typing whatever you wanted to search click go/search then wait until the picture of the first item logo and screenshot and the loading circle on the status bar disappears and wait another five seconds then you may start to browse the results (don't even touch the screen when it's loading).
I tried that too but I guess depending on what you search even that method will make it crash. Extremely buggy.
A lot of things don't work, I hate that I was foolish enough to update it. Even Offline Reading List doesn't work. Don't know if its supposed on the iPod 4g but mine doesn't. Apps crash in the background like yahoo messenger, safari doesn't remember where you were you were exactly when you tap the left arrow to go back.
Only positive about it is that the sluggishness is mostly gone, performs much faster. Overall OS is very good and hopefully the bugs on the iPod get resolved. Also all these imbeciles complaint about the maps need to get a life. Hasn't let me down yet. It's awesome, just imagine Ina few months how much better it can be.
I've been able to search fine most of the time but the problem I'm having is that every time I go in to my purchased apps to download them again, That's when the App Store crashes for me!!! It's very frustrating!!! I've also had a few crashes on safari. At first I thought it was I iPod so I did a restore and set up as a new iPod but of course that didn't help!
