How can you get Google Maps back. This new Apple Maps feature is HORRIBLE
Bing Maps offers a very good maps service with Bird's Eye, a feature similar to Flyover. It's arguably better than Google Maps.

You can use Google Maps by creating a shortcut to the Home Screen with help from the article below.

Nokia Maps is another great service that you can add to your Home Screen via a web shortcut.

You can't. See other related threads... there are many.
You can use maps.google.com from Safari.
I'm not a fan of Bing Maps at all and only use Google Maps when I need a street view. My favorite is MapQuest. The distance/times are much more accurate as well. They tried adding street view, but failed miserably. Once they do, though, it'll be perfect.
Does OSi 6 update remove Google maps from the phone? I have a iphone 4 but have not updated yet. It looks like a lot of the add on features won't work on my 4 anyway.
Yes it remove google maps and install the new apple maps downgrade
It's not a downgrade...
Apple is constantly working on improving their new Maps service, but until it reaches the level of finesse necessary to be usable, take a look at some alternatives.

there is no way you could refer to apple maps on an iphone 4 as anything other than a downgrade. it is inferior in almost every way
iOS 6 in its entirety is an upgrade. Please refer to one of the listed alternatives.
dude, i'm an apple fan, my iphone 4 is fine with ios 6, but you know the apple maps aren't good so stop posting here.
can someone give me a link to reliable instructions on how to get back to ios5.1.1? please
my most used app was maps.
excuse me for expecting an upgrade
No one here can tell you how to do that. Against the TOS. You cannot downgrade.
Excuse me for giving you alternatives better than Apple and Google Maps. You can't downgrade. TRY ONE OF THE ONES I LINKED. READ THE ARTICLES.
But you're being logical and intelligent. They'd rather whine and moan and act as if the world ended......
You shouldn't be posting here if you aren't wanting to help people. I'm not for or against Maps, I am offering alternatives to those complaining about Maps. Unfortunate that everyone must think it's too long a post to read and seem to skip over it...
okay okay.. i should clarify.
i have tried bing.
i have tried the web-based google maps.
i use public transport in major cities.
the options you have given DO work in a way.. but are so much slower and fussier than the integrated google maps app with street view. none of them come close.
i am using web based google maps now, but i would like my old app back.
apple has removed a useful and practical app and replaced it with a hugely inferior one.
i dare you to disagree with that last statement.
