why should people look for an alterative? tell us all huskie. tell us all why we should look for an alternative to what the company we pay good money to gives us? you do realize you are being ridiculous right? sit your butt down on a couch and ask yourself: there are millions of people out in the world that have bought products from apple. apple states that when you download this update your phone will work as always. IT DOESN'T! you cannot expect people to be happy about this, can you? you have nothing substantive to add to the conversation so move along and don't bother posting here. there are problems with the update that should not require a work around and you and everyone else knows it.

Google Maps was the single most important app I used; apples new map app is so bad. No street view, the phone numbers don't include area codes so I can't just click on the number and make calls, it doesn't capture all bus routes, it doesn't return the same search results... Why did apple create a new map app when Google has spent all their time and money into their database...

APPLE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back GOOGLE maps!

Sorry, but I think you're waaaay out of line. Huskie never said the new maps app was great, better, awful or anything. And he never said you should be happy with it. He just offered some alternative options anyone could investigate. If that's not substantive, I don't know what is.

Google Maps is gone. You and everyone here will have to get over it, until Google offers an App in the App Store, like they did with their YouTube App. Otherwise, continuing to post it's awful posts is what's really not substantive.

Any company that fights with its customers will lose. Apple could solve this problem for now by allowing us to go back to 5.1.1. This is the only solution to the mess Apple made with inferior ios6.

HuskieN Please no unhelpful comments from you on inferior alternatives to Google Maps under 5.1.1.

And you too are in the wrong. Huskie was not offering commentary on whether the new Maps is better or worse. He was simply offering alternatives. That WAS helpful. Google Maps is gone. You can whine, moan, sell your phone, or throw it against a wall and it won't bring what you seem to feel is so important back as Native in iOS. So your options are:

1. Try an alternative map app

2. Wait till Apple improves maps (which they surely will)

3. Sell your phone and go Android

4. Wait until Google releases Maps in the App Store

That's pretty much covers it. Anything else is just plain childish.
