I upgraded my new iPad (iPad 3) to IOS 6 and everything went well except Siri won’t launch apps. When asked say “launch Facebook” Siri responds with “it doesn’t look like you have an app named Facebook” and I get the same results when trying to launch any app. Siri works for everything else it just won’t launch apps. Any ideas? Thanks.

Well resetting network setting fixed this for me- but seeing as many of you did full restores I doubt it's a universal fix
Same issue here, iPhone 5 6.1.2, Siri wont launch app (3rd party or original app) same issue on 3g and wifi...
Hi guys, I reset my network then switched of Siri and restarted the phone. Played around with voice control for a bit then re-enabled siri. This fixed my problem!

I had the same issue in iOS 9.2 after getting a new iPhone 5s which I restored from iCloud.
My solution was to:
- Turn off Siri,
- Restart iPhone
- Turn on Siri.
Let's see how long it lasts.
Same here on 6s on 9.2.1--Siri cannot find anything on my phone, but can pull online info. A reset network settings fixes the issues, but as soon as i turn on wifi the problem returns.
go home Tap Settings > General > Keyboard > and turn off “Enable Dictation” for a few seconds turn it on and boom
