My iPhone 5 connects to wifi networks and remembers them, but receives absolutely zero data through the network. LTE and 3G no problem... Off to the repair shop (after 3 hours of ownership...) or any ideas??

I have the same hardware before the release of iOS 6 and none of it works properly. There is a bug in the software. It's not the hardware.
im curious where do you find the production week Ive been seeing that lately but not sure where to look...

not sure your theory is accurate. the phone i had replaced was production week 38 foxconn my replacement phone was also produced in week 38 and works perfectly...
im sorry i wasnt sure either its just majority of everyone i hear and told me is having major issues with phones wk 33-37. im just tryna connect the dots myself

Wifi is inconsistant and weak.

Modem firmware 1.00.16 here fwiw. Slow and inconsistent wifi has been my problem. My iPad is working perfectly with ios 6. Can't find a modem firmware for the iPad.
Just speculating, but since my iPad doesn't list a modem firmware I'm wondering if it isn't related to wifi but rather just the 3G/4G chip.
my modem is also same 1.00.16 the problem is download speed of wifi and not the connectivity
I believe all iPhone 5 users will be 1.00.16 until Apple sends out a new update like IOS 6.1. That will also update the firmware.
That other posting is the current iPhone 4 firmware revision.
This post needs to be on Apple's radar. I think you are probably onto something here.
I was not offered a replacement.
They pulled my back up out of the cloud (which i couldnt do at home)
So far so good at home but im jaded!
FWIW, when I turn off LTE under Settings > General > Cellular, Wifi works fine. When I turn Wifi off, LTE works fine. With both enabled, Wifi doesn't work.
