iPhone 5 wifi issues
My iPhone 5 connects to wifi networks and remembers them, but receives absolutely zero data through the network. LTE and 3G no problem... Off to the repair shop (after 3 hours of ownership...) or any ideas??

The problem is not unique to 5 GHz routers.
Same issues with my Iphone 5 and new IOS 6.1....
The iphone 5 is dual band while the old airport express isn't...maybe you're on to something?
Well I gave in and sent my phone to apple to hope for a replacement
My replacement iPhone works on my wifi. Woo!
So its pretty clear to me that the issue was hardware, at least in my case
Kosherwaffle - thanks for letting us know. Did your iPhone work on any wifi networks before you replaced it?
Miamiwire - what version of iOS is on your new iPhone? Also, what did you tell the Apple Store to get them to replace your phone? Thanks for sharing this news.
Spoke to soon! My work wifi dropped on my new phone. Looks like I'll be spending the night re-installing. This is a 6.1 glitch. Not hardware ....
6.1 on the new phone
It's getting really ridiculous. Now it's even impossible to update apps. Another problem that some iPhone 5 owners seem to experience.
Wifi problems, battery problems, software problems,...
Look how good the IOS 6.1 update is 🙂

I really do not understand all the "router" speak...my Netgear is set as follows:
SSID band enabled
Channel 11
up to 54 Mbps
WPA2-Psk
My guest is only set to WEP
Can anybody offer detailed instructions for NetGear Router?
