No, in fact it is faster than my iPhone 4 on the keyboard. You might want to try a Reset.

You do know that means holding down the home and sleep buttons, ignoring the red Off slider, waiting for the Apple logo and letting the buttons go?

Then you may have a hardware problem with your iPhone.

i have the iphone 4 and u updatde mine to ios 6 and since updating it the keyboard has been very laggy and slow and at times unresposive. i think it might be the software

Man mine has went crazy. It stared out by not registering key presses and then it just locked up. I rebooted the phone and then it went crazy and started opening files, calling numbers, and doing all kinds of crazy stuff. It went on for about 5 mins before I just turned it off and now I am restoring the phone hoping that fixes the problem. Like you said, ***** having to restore the device on the first day....and I hope this works!

Yeah I've noticed that my screen when Using my keyboard has been rough. I often miss the space bar and some other letters. Feels like I have to go slower and tap the screen a bit harder

yes. Im having the same exact issue. Keyboard on iPhone 5 is slow, skips spaces and letters.. Judging by other posts https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4321733 and earlier phones updated to iOS 6 having same issue, we can confirm its an OS issue and hopefully they come out with a fix reaaaal soon

Send feedback, http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html, call AppleCare or make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store so they can be aware of the issue. As I said earlier I don't have it on mine and there really aren't a lot of posts here about it so it apparently is not a global bug.

Okay people try a hard reset this should work for you, it has worked for me at least.

Same problem, keyboard lacks response, especially slow when switching between the number board and the letter board. Hard reset does nothing, neither does a restore.

I updated my iPhone 4s and I have the same exact problem. Keyboard is really slow, I've done the hard reset but it doesn't fix the problem. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Mine is like that too. I didn't notice it on my 4S, but it was only updated to iOS6 for a couple of days. I don't notice it on my iPad 2 either, which is also running iOS6. I wonder if it's a problem with the new touch sensor/screen system? It is horrendous when you use your keyboard frequently for business (text/email).

It's getting a lot more known though. I'm based in the UK and I am experiencing the problem as well.
