Slow keyboard in iOS 6/iPhone5?

Been playing with my new 32 GB black/slate iPhone 5 (AT&T) and have noticed the keyboard is....terrible. It's incredibly slow - i consider myself a fast typer. I confirmed with my wife's iPhone 4S still on iOS 5.1.1 that it was in fact something new on either the version of iOS 6 the iPhone 5 is running out of the gate or some weird hardware thing (doubtful it's the latter).

Quite simply, typing anything at any worthwhile speed system wide takes a solid ~25% longer as keys are constantly missed. Anyone else noticing this?

book an appointment in the genius bar they'll sort it out for you or reinstall the software see that's any better could be a glitch in the software

Really starting to bug me as well. Must be iOS 6 as it only does it with the keyboard with me.

I've had the same problem and was trying everything to see if I could tell the difference and when I out the phone on vibrate I had way better keyboard response. I can type as fast as I was when I first got the phone or before the new update. So just try to put the phone on vibrate. What's the worse that can happen?????

yah i have a warranty replacement iphone-5 with the latest software, one day old, and it was set up from the first phones Icloud backup. The first phone was only 3 months old and the sound completely went except if you used headphones or held it to your ear and it was muffled. The first phone also had issues with the screen going dark unexpectdly.

I've tried the soft reset where you hold down the home button and top button and kind of force it to dump and shut off, as others suggested. It didn't work. I dont really want to erase and start from scratch and lose everything.
