i have a big problem with IOS 6 and audio bluetooth

I´m also intersted in a fix for this.

Either Apple or Pioneer can help 😕

Same issue with my Alpine W235EBT and iPhone 5, and I just got it installed yesterday only to find I can't control the music from the head unit and no metadata is displayed. 😟

It seems Pioneer has updated their support pages. Compatibility for my iPhone 4S using ios 6 will require a firmware update. That update will be available at a time to be announced later it seems.

i talked to the pioneer hotline today. They confirmed what you found and i try to figure anything out with regards to the date, but they couldn't tell me anything.

What they told me is that all of the different radios will be provided with a new firmware on the same date.

So we've to wait a little longer. Hopefully not too long 🙂

@UnkPaul: Apple blaming 3rd parties for Bluetooth problems is like saying their maps app is correct and you're just not in the right place. #iOS6

Same issues - wish I would have read this before upgrading to the iPhone5 and iOS6. My AVH3300BT will no longer work on bluetooth. Where is safety now? - at least I had hands free before the upgrades/updates. Everybody is blaming everyone else but the reality is that it just does not work anymore which is crappy to say the least!

iOS 5 was no problem on iPad2 or iPhone4, BUT after upgrading to iOS6 -> fail.

Sony Ericsson MW600 bt earphones with display work though still fine, with AVRCP and id Tag information, on all iDevices and iOS (5 or 6)

Definitely Apple iOS6 issue, even though not with all target devices.

I expect quick fix from Apple.

Pioneer issued a firmware update 2 days ago (10 Jan) that supports iOS 6. It can be downloaded from the support pages on pioneers website.

Can you tell me how to update? Is it just putting the file on a usb-stick and than turn on the radio and plug it in?

I have also a Macbook and want to update my pioneer. Did you just download it, and then send it as it is after download or did you unzip it first?

I can´t unzip it???

I try to send the new firmware to my AVH 4400bt, from my macbook pro it stuck in about 512kb and fails... from my brother pc it fails right away.... anyone can help?

PD: any chance of doing this by USB?

in my case the mac unzipped into a .plz file, when i try to send it via bluetooth it starts ok but arround 512kb it stops and gives me a error....
