How do I activate 4G LTE on my iPhone 5? I have the LTE enabled in the setting, but it isn't working

Hey guys,

When I went to work in downtown Austin my LTE still wasn't working while several of my other co-worker's iPhone 5's (ATT) where on LTE just fine. So, I took my phone into the Apple store and they replaced it and now i have LTE!

So we must all be the small percentage that received iPhone 5's with a faulty LTE chip or something... so just take it to the Apple store and they will take care of you.

Sorry everyone I retract my statement. LTE still didn't work on the brand new iPhone that Apple swapped mine out with. I then called AT&T and they "removed and readded my phone's registration with the AT&T network" and magically I got on LTE.

So the whole time it was AT&T's fault even though Apple took the blame and gave me a new one 😟 So everyone CALL AT&T or your carrier before bugging Apple about it!

Ironically, the new iPhone Apple gave me will NOT connect to WiFi at all! Even after restoring and everything... gosh what are the odds of that??

Update.... I spoke to both Bell and Apple support yesterday. Bell added my iphone to the master investigation ticket and I sent a diagnostic of my phone to Apple support last night. This morning just about 30 minutes ago I now have LTE on my Iphone 5. There wasn't any update to my phone via itunes, so either Bell fixed the problem or Apple maybe contacted Bell with the diagnostic information I sent to help Bell resolve the issue. I was thinking that I had to go and replace my new iphone 5 based on previous posts on a different thread. However it was fixed and I am very happy I have LTE now 🙂.

I have same problem too. My iPhone 5, Model: A 1428 do not support Indonesian Mobile Operator Telkomsel 4G Lte. I do not see 4G / Lte signal at all. Only 3G. Any suggestion or advice for me please?
