YouTube AirPlay from ipad 2 with iOS 6

Jamine or Squrl are great YouTube clients for ATV.

But playback is still kinda fuzzy (480p?).

If you have a Mac Mini, the AirServer does AirPlay over 1080p. Finally YouTube back to full HD glory!

Which does return us to the real problem, AirPlay with full HD. I think YouTube, or Google, is just not interested in offering support for AirPlay. Apple TV's YouTube player it's the only good alternative with this device. If you want to add comments, likes, dislikes and messages then you are better off using the website. Use the desktop version for YouTube for AirPlay if you're using an iPad. You can go to m.youtube.com in the iPhone and should be ale to AirPlay.

I appreciate your comments, but my problem with iPad2and AirPlay is narrowed down to how Vimeo files are archived on Mikeslessons.com website. The weird thing that I previously stated still stands : iPhone5 can Airplay these archived movie mp.4 files , but the iPad cannot. So Apple still has conflicts with Vimeo movie files and how the iPad 2 or iPad 3 can read them them. I believe this happened with the upgrade to Mountain Lion IOS.

If someone can solve this riddle, your thoughts and comments are appreciated. Until then, this is an issue unresolved.

The problem was (notice the "was") that YouTube in iOS 6.0 didn't have AirPlay (only mirroring). Of course, this issue is outdated though. YouTube just recently made an update and unblocked AirPlay again.

NOTICE: Anyone who updates the YouTube app to the latest version on both iPad and iPhone (available on iPad now) will be able to AirPlay properly. I already tried it and it works. In addition, make sure your airplay devices are on the same network that your Apple TV is.

The network is not the issue. Apple needs to rewrite their script files for Airplay so they work with with buffered Vimeo mp.4 movie files. Vimeo is headquartered in New York and I have emailed them but no response. All other Airplay function work great! I love Airplay for playing Pandora, iTunes music and QuickTime.
