I'm having the same problem with my new iPhone 5. The iPhone 4S worked great with bluetooth in my Honda CRV. The iPhone 5 will make calls but will not answer them. We removed the iPhone 4 from the car's bluetooth list and entered the iPhone 5.

When someone calls the phone rings and the bluetooth rings and it caller id on the car screen tells who's calling, but when you anwer the phone the parties can't hear each other. I have to hit speaker and then hands free on the phone to get the call to come up on the Honda.

What is wrong with the Apple iPhone 5? Surely there is a fix???

Just curious, when this happens are you hitting answer directly on the phone or are you answering with a button on the car?

I have a Cx-5 and if I press answer on the phone when I have an incoming call it automatically sends the call through the phone but if I answer with the screen on the car or the button on the steering wheel it goes through the car.

Tried deleting the prior pairing. We did that every time. I just won't receive calls using bluetooth on an iPhone 5.

You can hear the ringing on the phone and the car, and can answer it on the car but can not hear anything and no one can hear me. I have to pick up the phone, then select audio on the phone, then select speaker on the phone, then select hands free on the iPhone. Then the conversation works.

Seems pretty hazardous to do on the road. You would think Apple would be interested in fixing this bug to save someone's life.

Anyone who still cannot get this working. I would recommend a call to Apple support. I did it after trying everything else and to my surprise. Getting a new iPhone actually fixed the issue. I am not sure what is really difference since the settings on the Phone and car are exactly the same. And the phone is on the same IoS (6.0.2). But something fixed it. I was also having the same problem with a Plantronics headset and it is working with that now too. I can receive all calls with no issue. It goes directly to bluetooth without having to manual switch it over.

I also purchased a 2013 Mazda CX-5 in August. I originally had the Iphone 4 and the handsfree option worked beautifully (it was actually one of the selling points that prompted me to choose that vehicle). I then upgraded my Iphone to the 5-initially it worked alright, and then I was unable to receive incoming calls. Recently, after the newest software upgrade to the Iphone 5 I can no longer make OR receive calls. The handsfree/bluetooth option is virtually useless to me with the Iphone 5. The odd part is that the streaming through the radio (when using Itunes) still seems to work. Neither person on the line can hear the other when using the bluetooth feature. Very frustrating! Any work on fixing this issue Apple? I love the Iphone but am truly disappointed with this issue.
