My iphone 5 must be special. It works fine with my 2009 Acura. The bluetooth connects immediately when I turn the car on. The steering controls work, I can even change the song on Pandora. I have a aftermarket motorola Bluetooth device in my Miata with ver 1.1 profile and even that works great with my iphone 5. Bose Bluetooth speaker, no issue. I have 3 different brands of bluetooth earpieces and no issue with any of them. I wonder if there are just some faulty phones out there that just need exchanging?
Well i have a 2012 Infinity G-37 and i solved my problem, i sold the i-phone5 and went back to an iphone4s. Apple will not even admit there is a problem as i have talked to a senior advisor who contacted engineering and as far as they are concerned there is no issue. I have 15 apple products this is the last i-phone i ever purchase!
Everyone shoule file a complaint with apple everyday.
What would I be complaining about?
BlueTooth functionality is faulty especially when pairing with 3rd-party audio devices.

Mine works with my car, my jambox, and my ultimate ears headphones.
Deggie,
OK, so what's the trick? Mine works, too, but I have to manually pair each time I get in the car...
Don't know, I don't have to pair each time. I have a 2008 BMW, what is yours?
One again, my iPhone 5 works perfectly with my 2011 Toyota, and also did with a 2012 rental Ford Mustang with Sync.
This is possibly good news for Nissan owners who have an IPhone 5: I just called the Nissan customer support number to report the problem with incoming calls (where the audio is transfered to the IPhone 5 handset rather than going throught the Nissan's bluetooth connection) and the representative said that Nissan has developed a patch to the problem that will be available from Nissan dealers as early as next week. The patch is on a CD or DVD that the dealer will apply to the Nissan car. I spoke with 'Patrick' who actually works in the Nissan USA bluetooth technical group who confirmed this information about the availability of a fix.
Awesome! Now the question is rather Nissan will do the update for free.
That is fantastic news! Please let us know if you hear more.
Audio cuts off after a random amount of time while connect to Nokia 905i headset. Strangely enough, audio controls on the headset still function. The only solution is to toggle Bluetooth on and off. This headset worked perfectly with my android as well as windows pc. I cant believe apple messed up the basics. I'm on 6.0.1
What number did you call to speak to Nissan

Nissan Consumer Affairs at 1-800-647-7261, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The rep at that number then offered to connect me to the Nissan USA cell phone testing group.
