We tried it. It doesn't work! At least not with iPhone 5 and 2012 Honda CR-V. Blue tooth works great with an iPhone 4. Wish we had never "upgraded?" to an iPhone 5.
Strange, someone else reported it worked on a 2012 CR-V no NAVI.
I just did the new IOS update and nothing has changed. Bluetooth still won't
connect in my car. 😟
A friend said, "The new iPhone uses Bluetooth 4.0. Your devices use Bluetooth 3.0. Old technology." Any truth? Could it be that he's right, and older devices (car stereos and such) need to update?
I just tried it, too. Didn't work.
iphone 5 and jaybird bluetooth headset.
Here's a real kick in the pants, too: My iphone 5 won't connect with my MacBook Pro!
My Macbook will tell me that my iphone is an "unsupported device."
***?
All bluetooth devices worked fine with my iphone 4. Nothing works with the 5.
My MacBook Pro specs are:
Model Identifier: MacBookPro8,2
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 4 GB
bad news, not sure why anyone else has posted this but Mazda know BT doesnt work with iPhone 5;

Can Apple fix this??? How rediculuous is this situation???
6.1 update solved the intermittent Bluetooth connectivity and phone pickup problem with my 2012 GMC Terrain with Intellilink.
I've just bought a bluetooth CSR 4.0 dongle and I'm using Windows XP to try to connect to my Iphone 5 via bluetooth. My PC can see my Iphone but when I try to pair it, the Iphone just says that it can't be done.. I can connect my PC to a bluetooth loudspeaker I have but not to the Iphone 5. I've tried on my notebook too (64 bit Windows 7) but it didn't work there either..
I have no idea of what's going on..
Any clues??
Thanks!
Well 6.1 is worse, my bluetooth connection on my Nissan Pathfinder used to need pairing almost every time I got in the vehicle, and it still does, however it's now dropping the connection when driving which it did not do before.
This is a step backwards for me, if only I had kept my 4 and not even botherd with a 5.
Apple will start to lose customers this year as the other phones offer more reliability.
Think we can get them to do a recall and replacement - maybe with an iPhone that works?
You can always call and ask 🙂
If this is the updated software I was told would fix the problem
it was an epic fail.....again.
Have you checked with your Nissan dealer to see if they have their update available yet? If you read back in this thread on of the participants contacted Nissan US and was told they were aware of the problem and would have an update available.
Yes I have checked.....Nissan says it's ready the dealers apparently
know nothing about it. Sigh
Seems like that is the route you need to pursue.
