No, this thread is so jumbled now there is no "the BT iPhone problem". As you've already been told Apple does not include the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) profile in Bluetooth so there is no means to transfer photos from an iDevice to a computer. Never has been. And if you had a lot of pictures it would be a very slow transfer. You can do so with USB or WiFi, you do not have to use iCloud.
Do you mean I could connect the mini USB IPhone 5 cable directly to a USB memory if I find a male to male adaptor ?
No, but then again you didn't ask about that, you asked about transferring to a "Computer PC or Mac". And yes you can use your cable to connect to the USB port on a "Computer PC or Mac" and transfer photos from the iPhone to the computer.
Thanks for your advice as I just found the solution...
In fact when IPhone 5 was USB conected to my MacBook Pro, it does not appear on DESKTOP but when LIVE I took off the USB cable and back On again then my File Transfert programme turned ON to download the IPhone 5 pictures...
So I will not need the BLUETOOTH !
No, and you can do the same thing if you sync via WiFi with your computer. It also should not have taken very long to transfer them.
I tried via WIFI before and could not make work any dialog...
i am just curious to know what became of your bluetooth issue? i also have the iphone5 with 10.6.8 snow leopard & am trying to pair but it does not seem to be able to do anything (file share) even thou it shows connected, paired, etc. i am frustrated to say the least so if you know please help me out..
thanks

Your iPhone does not have the BT profile for filesharing so, no, that isn't going to work.
yes i can see that something is wrong it's just that when you go thru the steps to find devices & confirm code numbers that verify bt addresses & it shows connected etc. then there are options to send files & you pick where you want it to go, but it does not go thru it becomes rather annoying, kind of i think mis-leading on apples part if you ask me, but what is common knowledge to some is still new to others(me),
i guess what i was trying to as heliumx was is there another way to make this happen? perhaps an app or something else?
but yes i was seeing that filesharing was a problem........................................................................ ..............................................
This rotten bug still persists for me but I'm not alone...
I was with a friend last week who has a very expensive reasonably new Mercedes & he was complaining to me about how his BlueTooth keeps messing up in the car so he was about to take it into Mercedes & get cranky with them.
I said 'let me guess... you've just upgraded to an iPhone 5 havent you?' 'Yeap' he said. I said 'forget Merc, go get cranky in an Apple store as the faults with their deployment of BlueTooth in the iPhone5'...
When is Apple going to own-up to this *%$# problem and do something about it!!!!!!
As soon as it is actually their problem.

And your point is?
We have pages & pages of reports of people who had fully-functional BlueTooth with previous iPhone models whose BT is now borked under the iPhone 5 despite re-pairing, re-registering etc etc. Simple as that.
It would be fair to say that there are also countless users like my friend who haven't made the connection between their shiny new iPhone & the faulty BT.
If it's an issue with Apple deploying a new version of the BT protocol or whatever that's great, all for moving forwards but has the phrase 'backwards compatibility' ever occurred to Apple?
If users are required to update the firmware or whatever of their BT devices Apple should be advising them of that. Not ignoring what is a very conspicuous problem for a helluva lot of users.
I have an iPhone 5, it pairs with my BMW, my sisters Acura MDX, my brother-in-laws new Dodge RAM, my friends Ford F150 and another friends VW Passat (after an upgrade from VW). I have another friend with an iPhone 5 that originally could not use it with his new Chevrolet Camaro SS but after an update at the dealer it worked.
You can read the support site for any BT equipped phone manufacturer, and car manufacturer, any head unit manufacturer and you will find many posts regarding problems with BT pairing going back several years and continuing to today. So I guess the problem in Bluetooth, it actually doesn't work apparently.
There is no way that Apple can keep track of every car manufacturer and head unit maker and keep track of whether their hardware is 4.0 compatible and if their backsward compatibility is correct. They buy a chipset from another manufacturer, install it in the iPhone and the BT firmware is contained on the chipset.
You can tell Apple that you are having problems with whatever car you are having problems with. Use this form and provide as much detail as possible: https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
You can put out all the Apple propaganda you want but my iphone 4s will not pair with my macbook pro. You would think that Apple could at least keep these two in sync.
The iPhone 4s will pair to the MBP if you are attempting to connect to the Internet via tethering through the iPhone.
iOS devices have never had the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) BT profile.
