No 4G Bell ????

Apparently LTE is avaiable in a pocket full of places here in Toronto as I found out today but no HSPA+ or HSPA, nor 4G display showing. It's either a quick bleep of LTE then back to 3G. What's up with that Bell? Or is it Apple to blame? Back to Rogers I go?

Less than 1 hour ago, I received a txt msg from Telus stating the following...

"(1/2) From TELUS, we have successfully completed all steps to fully resolve the issue you reported for trouble ticket 00000xxxxx"

Unfortunately, the persistent 3G connection (with supporting speedtest results) I'm still receiving would beg to differ. While out earlier, I did find an LTE hotspot less than 1 block from a Bell/Telus tower. But that LTE connection was lost less than 1 more block away.

The 2nd part of the Telus txt msg ...

"(2/2) Please call 1-866-558-2273 from a landline if you have any concerns. We thank you for your business."

Will be calling.

So, I followed up with Telus about the txt msg mentioned above stating "we have successfully completed all steps to fully resolve the issue you reported" ...

Tech support reassured me that the issue has NOT been resolved, but because it is an issue being experienced by multiple iPhone 5 subscribers, the case has been escalated to a higher support team. He said they are continuing to work on resolving the issue, but there is no estimated time when the issue will be resolved.

We now wait.

My dads been experiancing the same issue on his unlocked iphone 5 on the bell network. I called bell for him and had him added to the "master ticket". Altough, on our way home today his phone did briefly connect to LTE. Once we got home it was gone?

Kinda frustrating since my iphone 5 on Rogers works perfect..

I have also had the same problem with Bell in Edmonton. LTE seems to drop out reverting back to 3g when traveling. I came form the Galaxy s3 and never had a problem with LTE . It seems that this is a problem that's related to the iphone . Hopefully Bell can fix it. I will be calling them in the morning to get my name added to the master ticket.

in Edmonton too. Same problem, within my house, I connect to LTE for about 5 minutes then get dropped to 3G without moving a single inch. Whenever I restart my phone it briefly connects to LTE then drops again. I was also added to the "Master ticket" when I gave Bell a call. Wondering what is going on. My speeds on LTE are 26 mbps down and 18 mbps up, but when i m on 3G, my speeds are 6 down and 2 up.

S3 gets LTE at my house. iPhone doesnt.

I dont think it could be a hardware problem since my dads phone is unlocked. If i put my rogers sim in his it works fine. All i know is, is if for some reason this does turn out to be some weird "hardware" problem im not going to get it exchanged for a refurbished iphone at the apple store. i want another brand new one.

Sometimes the iPhone 5 doesn't get any signal, not even 3G. It just says 'No Service' indefinitely until I restart the phone. Turning Airplane Mode on/off doesn't work either. Has anyone seen this too? Perhaps it is related to the LTE issues that we are experiencing. Bell/Virgin user in downtown Toronto here.

No 4G Bell ????
