Horizontal lines on iphone5

Hi!

I'm extremely exciting to receive my first iphone - iphone5. But it turned out there some issues on the display.

Right at the center of the screen, occasionally there are few horizontal lines flashing, and the funny thing is, screen under the flashing horizontal lines becomes blurred and almost unreadable. But as I said, it happens occasionally, it just becomes normal minutes ago, while the last few hours, those lines are just exicitingly flashing like I was hours ago.

I read through the forum, it seems this issue happened in the past generations, anybody sees the same?

Have a nice weekend

I am experiencing the same horizontal lines issue when entering App Store password. Happened three times since last Friday (September 21s). I have the black 64 GB version of iPhone 5. The fact that it shows up only with App Store leads one to believe it is a software problem but it sure doesn't look like it. If it is a software problem it must be on a very low level (driver?) to produce that kind of a result. I must say that it doesn't "feel" like a softare issues. I am a software engineer and have debugged plenty of issues and this just doesn't feel like a software issue. The fact that it flickers like that randomly... I am wondering if App Store exercises certain part of the system (encryption?) that triggers the hardware problem. I haven't seen anybody report this problem with iOS6 and iPhone 4 or 4S. I spoke to Apple and they offered to replace it but I'll wait a bit in case it does turn out to be a purely software problem.

I am pretty frustrated as my first phone came damaged / scuffed. Apple replaced it with a new unit from a 'white box', it was not scuffed or damaged, but there was the static line issue. They exchanged it out again, and this unit is doing it as well. I called Apple to see if they could 'escalate' the issue people are having, he said he had t heard about it but noted the case allowing me to get the unit replaced. I'm not sure it's worth it at this point as I would like a 'new' unit not damaged physically as well as not having internal or software glitches. They said its not a common issue, yet it's happened on the two replacements I've been given. I have the black 64gb.
