Horizontal lines on iphone5

Add me to the list....my Black 32GB iPhone 5 is having the same problem as described. I have only seen it when entering my AppStore password as well.

I saw the same thing almost one per day. Most of time it happened when I was typing in my password before downloading.

But it happened a few times when I was opening up a app folder. Anyone has the same experience here?

Me too...I had this happened to me ...only once so far...If it becomes a pattern I will record too

Exactly the same to my white iPhone 5 16GB, it happens when entering the password at AppStore And only when the keyboard is in numbers mode. Also I have seen it when opening an application folder, but rarely...

I was planning to get it to the Apple store, but now i don't know what to do... I think that if it would be a hardware problem it wouldn't be so localized...

I have it twice so far in my 16gb white edition of iPhone 5. It was when the keyboard was active. It doesn't look like Apple has commented anything about it. Has it? Looking it atleast one comment, it appears exchanging the phone may not help either!....confused 😕

Well, I am now on my 3rd replacement from Apple (Black 64 gb) ... as I mentioned in an earlier post - this last trip to the apple store took 4 - 5 iPhones to find one that wasn't damaged as badly as the last they brought out. I took the 'best' (if you could even call it that) of the bunch they kept bringing out, but this one also had scuffs on it, along with some discoloration along the side.

Sorry to say that this one, like the others, is ALSO giving me he horizontal lines when signing into the app store. I find it amazing that there is no response or reply from Apple, and that when you call their customer service # or go into the store - none of the techs are aware of such a problem, I told them I could google it for them.

I am pretty amazed that Apple could let the quality issue continue to ride on a downward slope, and not even try remedy or address the issue in some way for all of us who spent quite a bit of money, for something in the past many of us did not think twice about as it was a solid and quality item ... very disappointed.

Looks like a software bug and it's going to be fixed in iOS 6.0.1

My replaced iPhone 5 had the same after 1 week.

Lets hope above is true and iOS 6.0.1 will fix our problem.

we have a general list of what the first iOS 6 update will entail. iOS 6.0.1 should fix the horizontal lines bug on the screen when the keyboard or app folder is open, and it will also fix a problem with the camera’s flash not going off. In addition, the new software will improve Wi-Fi support, fix cellular data not working in some cases, add a consolidated cellular data switch for iTunes Match, fix a bug that allowed access to Passbook pass details from the lock screen, and also finally fix the bug that caused Exchange meetings to be unexpectedly cancelled for the entire calendar invite group

I have same problem. whengoig to add pwd to app store .. colored lines appear. it *****. you can view this video for refrence. Any Help .. Should i replace this or wait for software update.

Add me to the list. Been happening since I got my iphone 5 32gb white on Sept 23rd. Only when entering the password into app store, but I have seen it once on messages. Disappears as soon as you leave the screen.

I am using iphone 5. Using almost a year.Suddenly I saw that there are lines in my phone, immediately I switched of my phone but it did not fix. How to fix this problem? I have never faced this kind of problem before. So please give me a perfect solution for this problem. I do not have the warranty paper.
