iOS 6 battery life terrible

I believed that apple was the most good of all.

I said that all my electronics PCM and , cell will be only apple.

I bought iPad 3before 1month exactly .

From the first day I had prob with battery.

Reading pages on Internet for 2hours battery drain 48%!!!!!!!

I hope apple to help me about it.

I paid for iPad 600eyro.not 3G.

apple it must help us.

It make me crazy....

This may not have anything to do with your problem but suddenly my battery was draining very quickly. I went into the Genius Bar and they spotted that one of the system program's (Springboard, I think!) was corrupt. To sort the problem I had to do a backup to iCloud, which is important as this method only backs up the apps etc. not the system. I then had to restore the iPad to factory settings and then restore from iCloud. Backing up and restoring from iTunes takes everything off the iPad which would transfer the corrupt program. Again, this may not be connected but the problem only seems to occur when I use the Flightradar app. (I hope that I am wrong 'cause I really like the app!). Has anyone else had this problem and has Flightradar installed. The battery is working fine just now.

I know that with iOS 7 coming out that most people are not paying attention to iOS 6.

But I waited to upgrade my iPad 3 until now to iOS 6.1.3 (from 5.1) figuring I didn't want to get 2 OS versions behind.

And my charge usage went down to something similar shown by adolfgarlic; about 5 hours usage from 100% to 10% charge.

I looked around for battery saving ideas and this was the best I found because the instructions were very clear.

After I made those changes, my iPad went ~8 hours on one charge (to 10%).

Can iTrade you my iOS7 iPad 3 for your iOS 6 iPad, whatever you do don't install this migraine inducing battery sucking iLag 7 garbage. Jobs didn't let Ives near iOS without close supervision for good reason. Skeuomorphism or not < iOS 7 was genius now its just blinding design created by the inner child of a grown man with too many Crayolas.

bizarrely, after installing ios7, I haven't charged my phone for 36 hours and it's still showing 20%

(on the iphone5, which typically would only last about 12 hours without a charge)
