iPhone 4s, iOS 6 keep asking me for my Apple ID password

Hi,

I have updated my iPhone to iOS 6. The problem it keeps asking for my apple id password. I can either click cancel or fill the password, it works just fine but will pop up again. First I tought it was related to one specific app (LINE by NAVER) but not always. I have tried google for answer but had no luck. Any idea? I deleted the LINE app, and reinstalled. I even restored the phone but nothing helped.

My problem is a bit different. About 6 months ago I changed my AppleID because I got a new email address. At the same time I changed my password to meet the new criteria. Now, since upgrading to IOS 6, my iPhone keeps popping up the same message everyone above is complaining about but it's my old AppleID, which I'd changed. Doesn't matter which password I put in, the old one or the new one, the password entry box keeps popping up. I can hit cancel and carry on but it's super annoying. I have no Naver apps and my current password meets the criteria. Anyone else have this particular problem? This is my first posting, do any apple staff ever respond in these forums?

This is what I said in another post, since you had the same problem, here ya go!

I think I figured it out. Did everyone, by any chance, have their device previously jailbroken? Then when they backed up their apps with iCloud, iCloud saved them? Then when trying to restore to a previous backup after upgrading to IOS6 all the apps showed up but just say waiting underneath? Well the reason it keeps asking for the apple id and password is because of those apps. As I noticed, the apps that are like that, when I tap on them the same window shows up asking for my info. All I did was erase the apps that were 'waiting' that were previously downloaded from when my iPad was jailbroken and I haven't gotten the little pop up since, its associated with the apps, I noticed that, but not exactly what its reasoning behind it is, probably because it is asking for your ID in order to download it, but when it can't connect, because of it being a pirated app, the device gets confused and when isn't able to download the first time, it will try again and continuously ask for your ID in order to confirm its download.

Hope this helps.

- After this upgrade I'm going to be avoiding jailbreaking and just deal with what I have to app wise.

So my phone seems to have stopped repeatedly asking for my password. Only thing I can think of is I reinstalled an IK Multimedia app that was being buggy. That seems to have coincided with my phone behaving properly again. From reading all the postings above it appears that there's more than one problem causing the same issue and it seems to be related to IOS 6. Good luck everyone

I'm having the same problem, I don't have any LINE apps, my pw meets the requirements, and I have never jailbroken my 4S. I have noticed this issue occur most frequently when I try to refresh my email accounts and when I enter my iphones settings. I have also noticed my iphone isn't syncing with my Macs calender and pictures, however, it appears to stil be backing itself up to my itunes. I knew better than to download IOS6 before the bugs were corrected, I just couldn't resist checking out the new features. Maybe I will just restore an old backup.

To everyone here, this happens on my iPad 3. I was searching the forums and found this thread with the iphone. But my iPad does the same thing -asks for my password all the time and doesn't seem tied to any program in particular; games, paid apps, free aps, apple apps...

My take on this is that it is an ios6 bug, I didn't get the popup; enter your password for no reason, in iOS 5. Did anyone have this problem in iOS 5?
