iPhone 4s, iOS 6 keep asking me for my Apple ID password

Hi,

I have updated my iPhone to iOS 6. The problem it keeps asking for my apple id password. I can either click cancel or fill the password, it works just fine but will pop up again. First I tought it was related to one specific app (LINE by NAVER) but not always. I have tried google for answer but had no luck. Any idea? I deleted the LINE app, and reinstalled. I even restored the phone but nothing helped.

I was able to fix mine so far from doing it, I have never Jail broke my phone either, however in settings scroll down to music..Mine is under Itunes and apps store, I clicked there and when I scrolled down to the bottom under Home Sharing.. my old apple ID was still there, so I changed that, and so far..it has not prompted me for the old apple ID again.. Hope it stays that way, every page I tried to send it would prompt me

This article was VERY helpful and I was able to fix this problem on my phone. It seems that the issue for most people is in FACETIME. As soon as I followed this article and looked at Facetime it had my very, very old Apple ID listed there with no password which is why it was causing this issue.

I tried a bunch of the solutions offered throughout this thread. I ended up finding and changing my old Apple ID in iTunes & App store, iCloud, GameCenter, iMessage, Home Sharing, and Facetime. I hope that's all the places I found it. Please add to the list with any I've missed. Other users have mentioned the LINE app. (Not familiar with it.)

(Incidentally, one would think I could change my Apple ID in one place and the phone would be able to change it elsewhere, but as it turns out, you pretty much have to manually change your ID in EVERY SINGLE APP THAT ACCESSES IT.)

Anyway, I did all that, and haven't been getting the login thing. At least not for a little while. Keeping my fingers crossed...

i have same problem too in iOS 7, usually we have an unfinished updating application or downloading application, last time i get problem with restoring stiker in Line Messenger, when restoring my 3G signal is bad, so i have some sticker is not finished and the itunes pop ups everytime ask the password, i delete the Line messenger, download it again then restore the sticker in good signal, after that the annoying pop up never appears again. i hope my experience can solve the problem all of you

Hey there, got same issue - took me two days to figure out its definitely iMessage and/or FaceTime, cause I experimented a lot and could exclude anything else so far.

Thanks for WARNING of a reset that most likely wont help!

Also Im on 6.1 and my App Store is showing me 5 Updates of Apps that are versions for iOS 7 only (shame on that bug!) so I thought that was the problem but it's not...

Im on 6.1 cause I dont wanna lose my JAILBREAK and since the problem also appears in Mobile Substrate Safe Mode, Its NOT due to the JB!

the 3R-solution is a pretty much big bullsh*t (first R is ok so far) - apple support has pretty much no clue of whats going on deeper in the filesystem....

The ONLY cool benefit of 7 ist the FaceTime AUDIO but I'm sure there will be a Cydia Jailbreak Tweak soon - just in Case iOS 7 wont get jailbroken...

Ill find out if your upper solution helps me now, thanks in Advance & Peace Out!
