iPhone 4s, iOS 6 keep asking me for my Apple ID password

Hi,

I have updated my iPhone to iOS 6. The problem it keeps asking for my apple id password. I can either click cancel or fill the password, it works just fine but will pop up again. First I tought it was related to one specific app (LINE by NAVER) but not always. I have tried google for answer but had no luck. Any idea? I deleted the LINE app, and reinstalled. I even restored the phone but nothing helped.

It happened to me too! First it's inside LINE application, but now it keeps asking anywhere everytime I unlock my iPhone for using any application or even home page.

It's gettig very frustrated especially when it pops up when i'm in the middle of something (eg. typing)

i'm not sure if it's really iOS6 issue but for god sake please fix it! I cant downgrade anything cause i'm not jailbreaking my phone and never will do!

Note: I use the same Apple ID with total 5 devices.. 4 of them have LINE but only one (my iPhone 4s) keeps asking this windows! (i got iPhone 4s, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPod touch 4 and ipod touch 2 (no LINE on this one)

I might have a solution to this as I had been getting the same problem and it seems to have stopped now. I think Apple might have changed the minimum requirements for users' Apple ID passwords. My old password consisted of only lower case letters. When I went to sign in with my old password on the webpage - https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/266/wa/directToSignIn ?wosid=JM0krXkcNbqVwfqQKTtQA0&localang=en_US) it told me that my account had been locked (or similar wording) because I had entered the wrong password too many times. I had been entering my password consisting of just lower case letters.

When I reset my password and was prompted for a new one, I discovered that passwords must have at least 8 characters, including at least one capital and one number. I have changed my password to fit the new requirements. When I received the pop up on my iPhone I entered my new password and haven't been prompted for it again since.

Hope this helps.

I too have the same problem. Although I notice that many also suffer from this issue ('iPhone keeps asking for Apple ID password') and some can be fixed by resuming download or signing out of App Store, ours definitely have something to do with the LINE app and so far the methods put forward to remedy do not work.

And after doing some googling, looks like it has been confirmed by the NAVER team that such a bug exists (http://lineblog.naver.jp/archives/18134862.html) and they are currently working on a fix. I guess all we can do now is just wait for the fix to be released.

If anyone suffers from the same problem and it could be traced to the LINE app, I suggest not trying to backup and restore or reinstalling the app. I've tried both and neither works.

Actually I don't have any applications by Naver installed on my iPhone, including the LINE app. I don't know what is causing the recurring pop-up asking to enter my Apple ID password, but in my case it has nothing to do with a Naver apication or LINE, since it has never been installed. .

Any other ideas? I'm thinking about restoring to an old backup in an effort to eliminate this bug. It's getting really annoying!

Thanks!

Hi, i just upgraded to ios6 and i had same problems as users above. i've had tried to reset passwords & restore phone, but it doesn't work. My situation is more worst, it happen almost everytime i unlock my phone, apple will ask for passwords. If i choose ignore or wrongly key in the passwords, all my apps are not working. it just freeze until i re-sync again via pc.

I don't think is LINE problems. The problems are still there after i have delete this apps.

Please help!!
