iPhone 5 time and date issues

I've had (sprint) LTE turned off since yesterday evening and datetime HAS NOT changed to the incorrect time.

Current Settings LTE- OFF

DateTime "Set Auto" - ON

Let see if this will hold it's time settings.

Well my third iphone 5 still has the time and date issue. I give up. I want my 4 s back.

yeah I don't think the issue is the phone, I think it's the Verz LTE towers. Just my guess based on what I've read on this thread. I have not had any issues with incorrect time once LTE is turned off. Before that I was getting multiple incorrect time daily.

I too have been having this problem.. since day one. I have swapped sim cards with no cure. Sunday I went into the Mishawaka In Apple store and talked to them about it. They actually switched phones for me. Still no cure. Today it sems to be worse, its changed times about seven times today.. and i notice a wierd thing now... ill notice my time is wrong.. so ill reboot the phone... before the reboot i was at 93% battery.. it went to 100 % after the reboot.. both phones did that.... there are some wierd things going on here..

i also notice that when my phone is plugged in, and i wake up in the night and check the time on my phone it reads correct in the lock screen.. but my alarm wont go off... as soon as i unplug it..it changes time...

audrey709 - The problem seems to be with iOS6 and Verizon towers, so going back to your 4S won't help, unless you still have 5 on it.

My sons phone iphone 4 is on ios6 and he doesn't have this time issues. I'm stumped

my wife has my old 4s.. she dont have it either... its an phone 5 problem... im starting to think its a LTE problem,

...just another confirmation of issue... Verizon White 32GB iPhone 5 used between Dundee/Newberg and Beaverton/Hillsboro Oregon. I am also thinking LTE. Any update or confirmation on this?

I have Sprint, turned off LTE service Tuesday evening, haven't had any more INCORRECT time issues as of today. Again, I think it's an LTE tower issue. Not sure if it's a Verz or a Sprint issue for me, people on this board have mention that Sprint uses Verz LTE towers.

Same problem here although maybe slightly different (I didn't read all 17 pages of posts) Our phones are getting "stuck" approximately 12 hours behind current time. Not sure if we are just noticing 12 hours later and it has been stuck the whole time or if there is something else going on. It has affected my Reminders, Calendar & iMessage.

2 iPhone5s, 16GB blk, Verizon, Los Angeles area. I don't get LTE in all areas most of where we work & live is 3G only.

I have a case open with Apple, the 2 times I spoke to someone they didn't indicate that they have heard of this happening with other iPhone5s. Not sure what my next step will be when it happes again but I will keep bugging Apple just so they know its an issue. Of course this may be a fool's errand based on my opinion that they care about customer satisfaction.

I've been with AT&T since they first started cellular service. I switched to verizon with the new iPhone 5. The poor voice quality is tolerable. The no data during calls was annoying. And quite honestly this time date bug sealed the deal for me - back to AT&T I go.

I can definitely handle my 4S until my upgrade next year. What a lame first Verizon experience this has been... My hopes were a bit too high I'm afraid.

I am on Sprint and am thinking it may be a Verizon LTE issue. I've been lucky because my phone has only gone back about 20 to 25 minutes. Switching between airplane mode corrects the issue. I had my wife's 4s right next to mine and her's displayed the correct time. I have checked my router settings and the router time is correct as well. When I received my phone I was pleasantly surprised that I had LTE service in my neighborhood because I never had WiMAX. (Had an Evo 4g for 2.5 years) I'm wondering if the LTE signal I am getting around here is off oa Verizon tower and not a Sprint one. I mostly notice the problem when I change from wifi to LTE. It was mentioned to turn off roaming but I haven't heard from the Sprint people if that has worked for them.

You are having the same issue as me. I'm on Sprint and my time goes back about 20-25 minute as well. I've turned off LTE and it seemed to fix the issue for now.

Past 2 days I have not encountered any time change. Let you know if anything changes this week.

Having serious time issues on a new iphone 5 w/verizon at my house as well. Time consistently drops 20-30 minutes behind and then updates after awhile on its own. Will try to put in a support call to apple.
